View Full Version : Manager-lead stables.
Managers are sorely missing from wrestling, so let's try to have some fun with that thought. Let's build up some stables where their one commonality is their manager, like The Heenan Family.
First, choose two managers for RAW, two for SmackDown!, one WWE cross-branded manager, and three managers for TNA. They can be anyone currently signed to that company and be within that brand (aside from the cross-branded one, obviously), whether they're wrestlers, announcers or what-have-you.
Next, Take 3-5 wrestlers from that brand/company and put them in the stable. The point will be that they directly benefit from having a manager, and specifically that manager, and not just from being in a stable.
Okay, let's do this.

I think Triple H is a certain "Undertaker" level where he doesn't need to wrestle except important moments. He could lead a stable of newbies to do his dirty work, or just to make them cool if the go babyface....
Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, and maybe Alex Riley or Joe Henning.
As far as TNA, take Nash use him with the X-Division again to talk for some lameo's and that works fine.

I'm glad this was created, based on my post the other day. to answer well obviously a Bret Hart led hart foundation but add Y2J and Edge with the Hart Dynasty. Zeke Jackson, Mark Henry, MVP and R-truth=new NOD with Slick as their manager. As we've talked about b4 a UK Stable Sheamus, Drew Mc, Regal and Barrett with regal as the manager. Thats all i got for now.

Im pretty sure everyone is gonna say William Regal with Sheamus/Drew McIntyre/Wade Barrett
Teddy Long could manage the New Nation - Zeke/Shad Gaspard/R-Truth/Kofi Kingston

I would love to see a new Devastation Inc. or a new Diamond Exchange. Hell, how about a new Satanic Army?

This is something that I really miss about late 80s early 90s wrrestling. It made Mr. Perfect vs Big Bossman so much bigger than it would have been. Bossman worked his way through the Heenan Family until finally he got his shot at Hennig, the best the stable had to offer and also the IC champ.
I can't come up with any ideas for current stables, as I am about to start driving home. Maybe later.

Exactly. When I started following pro wrestling back in 1988, there were a lot of great stables within a lot of promotions, I lost count.

i could see percy watson as a good manager. kaval, rey, bourne as a high flyin group...malenko, benoit, curt hennig and jericho as best technical wrestlers with bret as manager.

Another thing I liked about it was that it was a super easy way to build a new heel. Manager talks about "new acquisition" for a few shows, then the new heel automatically has heat.

A little off topic but I've always thought Finlay would make a great manager for Sheamus. Wearing an all black suit and wielding his shillelagh of course.
And a UK group wouldn't be believable as Scotland and Ireland hate eachother, and England looks down upon both.

Nobody cares about technical wrestling.
