So this is the inverse of Xero's latest thread (http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105907). Barring any Smackdown where the spoilers sound like ass but the show itself winds up being good, What events were you NOT looking forward to that actually got you interested when you watched?

You know what, I think I'm the only person who likes the Money In The Bank Pay Per View because it gives title shot opportunities to both Smackdown and Raw which I think is better than having just have one great spectacular match at Wrestlemania and resulting in only one person per show,
I like the PPV because it gives so much more than just a gimmick match at Wrestlmania.

You're not the only one who thinks this. I just always found it hard to believe why anyone who won MITB would challenge for the WHC over the WWE Title. Its on the flagship show and clearly that title is held in higher regard by corporate.

Invasion
Spring Stampede 2000
This was the springboard of the Russo/Bischoff Era in WCW; the night when all the titles were up for grabs in multiple tournaments for the US, Tag Team and World titles. It looked like it was going to be an overbooked shitfest (and it was overbooked), but the show actually churned out a lot of really good matches including Mike Awesome vs. Lance Storm and DDP vs. Jarrett.

souled out 2000
the card that was gonna be just another wcw ppv, but due to various injuries etc turned out to be a damn good show.
it was complete chaos, and unpredictable, but that was the great thing about it.
moments that made me love that ppv include:
Dean Malenko rolling out of the ring to take a breather in a match where it meant instant DQ, and WCW running with it rather than doing something lame like making it a 2/3 falls contest.
Kidman putting on a decent display on 3 occasions and getting over without being made to look like superman.
them apparantly forgetting they'd booked masa chono and him cutting a completely random promo in japanese.
vampiro still looking half decent in action
the wall seeming relevant again since the other half of the joke in his name wasnt about (berlyn)
the random sid vs benoit title match and benoit winning the belt
that powerbomb through the chairs on funk by nash
hearing the horseman theme for arn anderson in 2000...
it was the PPV that was basically thrown together at the last minute and came out fantastic. like that sandwich you made when you got hime at 3AM after a night on the beer.
