Is anybody considering the possibility of Batista not only beating Bobby Lashley, but potentially being a force in the heavyweight division?

I know that it's not likely, but his size and strength alone are something to consider heavily.

He's very green. Also with guys his size, they gas out quick, just look at Lashley Sat. night. I would like for him to prove me wrong though, but MMA is just a different world.

If Batista is able to beat anyone of decent name (Paul Buentello or higher) I'll eat my hat.

Shouldn't we start calling him Bautista now?

No they're not. Just ask Mariusz Pudzianowski. The guy has won the World's Strongest Man lifting competition 5 times and got schooled by an over the hill Tim Sylvia. Tim "made of cookie dough" Sylvia looked like Brock Lesnar against this guy. That's going to be Batista soon.

I actually believe Wes Sims could beat Batista.

Well Lashley destroyed Sims so...

Didn't destroy Sims by any means.

tbh it was an early stoppage. Anyway thats off topic, my point is Lashley>Sims>Batista. And Lashley and Sims are not very good.

I am not a fan of Lashley, he can take you down sure, but he doesn't have much other than pounding you out from there. You gotta have some slick submissions in this game as we all know.

I wonder though, since Bautista has no training, will he go stand up based or takem down and poundem out?

Or will he actually learn submissions?

He is so f'n big BJJ seems kind of counter productive because it won't be often he will be on his back. But maybe he could work well from there.

I hope he tries to be a stand up fighter, that would draw some money, only of course if he is successful.

Booker T kicked his ass. Imagine what trained professionals will do.

Him being big has nothing to do with him being able to stop takedowns.

About Pudzianowski. He went all crazy after beating the shit out of a shitty Polish ex-boxer. He defeated him in seconds and went all "I'll be the future world champion". Seriously.

Now what I consider might be an amusing fight is Pudzianowski facing Butterbean in September.

Yeah, no doubt. Butterbean will probably KO him quickly because his stand up is garbage.
