View Full Version : Series to Download
So I am heading back to England in 3 weeks to continue studying pharmacy, and I get bored there easily.
Bought a 1.5TB external and want to fill it up with good shit to watch. Doesn't have to be current.
To give you an idea of the kinds of things I like..
Comedies: The Office, Scrubs, Family Guy, Knocked up
Serious stuff: Supernatural, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass, The Bourne Series, Kill Bill
That's just off the top of my head. Give me ideas!
Things I've already downloaded: Heroes, House, Dexter, Smallville

Burn Notice.
The Wire, The Sopranos, The Shield, Breaking Bad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sons of Anarchy, The Office (UK),
They don't correspond to your taste but they are better than your taste so just watch them instead.

As for drama, LOST, X-Files, Oz.
Dunno if you'll like them. I'm just going with what I like.

Much different pacing and about as long as one full season. Story is pretty amazing though, first episode of US is shot for shot remake of UK basically. But from there they go their separate ways. UK not for everyone, but you can give it a shot especially since its not as long as the others and can easily be done in one or two days.

Lost
Arrested Development
Scrubs
The Boondocks.
The Sopranos
ow does office UK compare to office US?.
The Office US is the The Office UK's bitch. It is better in every way. Which is saying something, because The Office US is excellent.
Entourage
Weeds
Modern Family
Oz
...californication...
All of these plus The West Wing, Bored To Death, 24, Fawlty Towers and The League. Can't put enough emphasis on LOST, The Wire, The Sopranos and The West Wing. The very best TV shows I've ever seen.

lol, Lost. lol.
Yeah forgot The West Wing somehow, thats basically top 3 with The Wire and The Sopranos. If Breaking Bad continues being as amazing as it is that'll be up there though.
thanks for the suggestions guys
I'm currently downloading The Office (UK), How I met your mother, and the sopranos
I will look into the rest as well. just don't want to run more than 3 torrents at once.
Already watched and loved Frasier, prolly download Entourage next, lots of people mention it. I heard LOST ended on a very weak note, and I hate bad endings so will probably skip it.
Don't let other people's judgements on LOST put you off. A lot pf people were left unhappy that they didn't get answers to everything (a lot of which didn't need answering) and felt unfulfilled. However, the journey is amazing and the finale is excellent from a character arc perspective.
Can't believe I didn't mention Entourage and How I Met Your Mother (unless someone said them before me), Both very good. Add The Big Bang Theory and The Inbetweeners (although that might go over your head as it relies heavily on recalling your time at school in the UK).
