View Full Version : Dixie Carter
I'm sure this will have been brought up before but can someone please explain to me why this idiot is now TV? I, by my own admission don't watch TNA regularly (in the UK, don't know where to find it and my interest in wrestling is only just perking up again and that's primarily cause of Danielson/Low Ki in the WWE) so I don't know what's exactly going on in TNA and by reading the results, it appears neither do they.
However of the clips on youtube what I have seen recently, this untalented nimrod what has basically created WCW, 10 years later, is now on TV and I, not for one second can understand why. What is her purpose? Is she a good guy or a bad guy? Why is she so incapable of cutting a promo?
The only thing I can think of as a comparison in inexplicable appearances is Vickie Guerrero but from what I remember, she was a heat magnet - Dixie does nothing.
Finally why were the ECW guys lifting her on their shoulders (so I've heard) at the end of this One Night Stand/Forever Hardcore rip-off a couple of weeks ago. I seriously just don't get her presence on TV. Like most of TNA, it just makes no sense, so can someone who watches this crap on a regular basis please try and explain it to me.

Don't you ever say an unkind word about that goddess of a woman.lol. She's my favorite wrestling owner right now. And a damn fine lady....damn fine. Her on air promos were good considering she hasn't done many. They were better then half of the wrestlers in the wwe's were this year. I know I'll get a lot of shit for this...but TNA is the better company right now. The show is more interesting, the wrestling quality is killing wwe and for once it makes more sense. I say three cheers for Dixie Carter. An owner that listens to the fans, instead of telling them what they want to see. TNA doesn't need much to be a real threat to Vince in the future. Now allow me to get off my soapbox. Good day.

Dixie is an idiot. Leaching off her money bags daddy. Her promos suck, and the way the ecw guys sucked up to her made me want to throw up all over myself.
Fuck Dixie.
Not literally though.

She's basically a figure head/athority figure for TNA. As far as I can tell she is a face as are Hogan and Bishof (or however you spell it) which makes no sense to me as having all of the athority figures being 'good guys' just seems stupid but you know what ever. I agree that she isn't exactly the best choice for an on air personality and I think the only reason she's on it is to make TNA seem better to the average 'fan' by making it's owner seem like a nice person instead of a money hungry crazy old pedophile. Anyway that's just my two cents hope it helped.

Haven't been on this forum for a long time either. Can someone else tell me whether this guy is for real or not?
There's been an influx of shitty ass posters.

You know someone may agree with me but Dixie Carter was never really mentioned when she learned her place and stayed out of the limelight. But sense Jarrett and Angle had there drama thats when all the madness started.
So anyone see her shoot interview yet?
Jarrett/Angle drama. Would someone care to enlighten me on this. I can already tell it's going to take quite a lot to get back into the swing of this whole TPWW thing.

Angle got upset that his former wife was dating Jeff Jarrett and might of had an affair while the couple was still married although it wasn't the reason why Kurt and Karen Angle split up.
Jarrett's wife died around middle of 2007 from cancer and he took a break from TNA until late 2008 while Karen Angle decided to divorce Kurt Angle late 2008. Its assumed Jarrett got involved with Karen Angle a short time after returning from his personal leave.
A lot of people in TNA were really upset at what Jarrett did and Dixie almost considered firing him or removing him from authority position but later decided against doing either choice.

Mostly, but it varies. It's the same old shit. Anyone who likes tna on here gets talked about.Because the wwe is revoloutionizing the buisness right now aren't they? They're buisness is booming isn't it? Oh no wait a minute they are pretty shitty as well, but for 8 year olds. And yes I'm totally for real.Just because I like something different from the old fart posters on here don't mean it's wrong. It's just my fucking opinion.

Hey Bro. I haven't been around all that long. I'm not an "old fart" either. I'm also not 12, into crash booking, having Hogan on programming, shit angles, the iMPACT Zone, Russo with a pen, stripping a champion for no real reason... do I really even have to continue? WWE isn't really doing any of the things you listed. But really what the hell is TNA accomplishing by trying to be WWE?

Where do I even begin with your nonsense...
1) The target audience for wrestling nowadays IS age 12 so of course you don't appreciate the quality you see.
2) Hulk Hogan was a draw in the late 80's and mid 90's so he's gotta be a big draw today.
3) Vince Russo doesn't use a pen, he types.
4) The Impact Zone is an intimate setting that lets 500 fans feel the excitement of a tv taping, unlike Raw which is mostly performed in front of tens of thousands of people live.
5)Anything involving Hogan, Jarrett, Sting, and Nash = ratings. In fact, if the combined age of the participants in the ring is 200 or higher, it's likely a good angle that will result in excellent matches.
6) RVD wasn't stripped for no reason, Abyss raped and killed him in a cellar. As a result he'll be out of action for 3 months.

I miss Heidenreich.
He was so bizarre.
Isn't everyone a face in TNA? Especially since the crowd's all mutant smarktards who would cheer for a guy who just killed then raped their mother?

Litttle Johnny got tore down a lot more than he deserved, for what he was he was very good. If a guy went out at his size & acted like AJ Styles, it would look rediculous.
I want to see the footage of the Rape & Murder in question, a giant Mankind/Kane hybrid offing a giant pothead SAW-style makes for great TV.

They need to change the company name. The went right back to the bottom after the Big F'N Show.

I'd say Dixie is on screen for self-gratification; she certainly isn't getting any from the ratings in this little project of hers.

Ok Jimmy, I really don't even know where to begin with this so let me just ask one thing - why, if things are going so great over at WCW mark 2 and the TV is of such high quality (and how could it not be with performers like the retarded Mankind/Kane love child and writing staff like Vince Russo), did they bail out of the "Monday Night Wars" so quickly?

I actually have alot of respect for Dixie Carter. She has made some good decisions with signing recently and I like that she has an on-air role for once. She is attractive and she is working her ass off to try and make TNA one of the biggest companies ever. She is well on her way to increasing its status in the wrestling industry. She is attempting to take it global as well which is a good move. Though ratings aren't extremely high, they have gone to at least a 1.3 recently and for them that's good news. Most of the storylines are actually quite decent right now. I have been watching TNA around the middle of 2005 and besides 2006 this is my favorite year for them.

I don't know about good decisions. The ECW retreads aren't bringing in the ratings they thought they would since they've gone down in the weeks following the PPV.
Hogan hasn't brought the ratings in and they're now losing money as a company because of the enormous salaries they're taking on.
The only worthy signing was RVD and he basically divided the locker room and split. Hardy has done nothing but get fat after he was signed.
They're doing nothing to promote their young talent. You could argue "Fourtune" but I've seen those guys do nothing but stand around while Flair and Hogan or Flair and Foley talk about shit from the past.
The Knockouts division, which was once one of the best things in all of wrestling and the company's highest rated segment, has gone to shit and now pretty much revolves around the three hottest.
She's basically grasping at straws.

I'm actually proud of Dixie too. Its good to see what a hooker can do these days.
I really want tna to pose a serious threat to WWE. It would be good for the business to see them challenged & see how they respond. But thats never going to happen with the tards they have running tna.

I dunno. He was pretty bad.
It was funny as fuck, but mostly because it was "so bad it was good."
In Dixie's defense, she's better than Linda ever was, and a lot easier on the eyes. That's not exactly saying much, but all things considered, she's not horrible, and she might become good.
Maybe.
They really need to settle on ONE authority figure. Having Hogan, Bischoff, and Carter all making calls, it’s getting to be a bit ridiculous. It was retarded to have Dixie come out and suspend Flair, only to have Hogan come out moments later and overrule the decision.
I have tried getting behind TNA in the past. But this year I have pretty much given up on the company due to it’s inability to develop a long term plan and stick with it.

It's sad because I think the TNA roster as a whole is more talented than the WWE roster. WWE has more talented on the top of the card, but I'll take Pope, Motor City, Beer Money, AJ, Anderson, Wolfe, Generation Me, Lethal and all the Knockouts over anyone on WWE's midcard or in their developmental.

The "Dvided Authority" angle could work, but it won't.
This show is really like Lost, where most of the best potential plots will go nowhere. All it's missing is the rabid fanbase of ten million twats calling it brilliant.
