It amazes me how I'm able to get out of bed and put one foot in front of the other and be able to string together a coherent thought and communicate with other humans. Fucking shit.
So, my old XBox crapped out on me. I thought it was the laser, Alvarado thought so too, I bought a new laser, installed it, it didn't work, put the old one back in, it didn't work either (Alvarado owes me $20). I was going to get the new XBox Slim eventually, my old one crapping out on me just sped up the process. If I was able to fix the old one I was planning on modding it but now I'm going to sell it to a buddy and tell him he should take it somewhere to get it fixed.
So it came today so I took my usb stick, shoved it into my old one, and proceeded to start transferring shit to the new one. While it's transferring, I decide "WELP, I MAY AS WELL FORMAT THE HDD ON THE OLD ONE SO MY BUDDY AS A CLEAN HDD". So I do that and the files are done transferring.
Everything is on the new one and is working wonderfully. After testing out a bunch of stuff I decide "WELP, IT APPEARS EVERYTHING IS FLAWLESS. I SUPPOSE I SHOULD GET RID OF ALL THAT STUFF OFF OF MY USB SO I HAVE MORE SPACE ON THERE".
So I go to settings and I can swear to you I clicked Memory Unit and not Hard Drive. I can swear I did. But I guess I didn't and started removing things off of my Hard Drive. Click, delete, click delete.
"HMMM, THAT'S STRANGE. i DON'T REMEMBER MY USB HAVING 220SOME GIGS OF MEMORY LEFT."
Click, delete.
"WAIT A SECOND, SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT."
Click, delete.
I get down to GTAIV before I realize I fucked up. Thank god I didn't delete that because I was planning on finishing that. I dunno why it took me so long to figure out. I guess I assumed the stick would like "Copy/paste" the shit to the new one even though it says "transfer" and I clicked "transfer" and read the word "transfer" like a dozen times.
The only thing of real importance that I lost was my Fable 2 save. That's a bitch and a half. To get all that work done and keep it on my hard drive for more than a year only to delete it a few weeks away from the relase of the next one. I hope it doesn't affect the story too much.
fuck
