View Full Version : Did wrestling, as a whole, ever beat Monday Night Football during the Attitude Era?
Anyone hear anything like this? Because I know Nitro and RAW, on a weekly basis, was doing about an 8 total for a while.

ABC's lowest-rated MNF game was the St. Louis Rams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_St._Louis_Rams_season)' defeat of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Tampa_Bay_Buccaneers_season) on October 18, 2004 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_NFL_season), which drew a 7.7 rating.
So the answer is no

Only chance would have was the years MNF switched its time slot from 9pm to 8pm for the East Coast. The end result was ABC and the NFL lost badly in ratings drops due to the West Coast having the game around 6pm (local news time).

They had it since it started in 1970 till 2006 when ESPN took over.
You might be thinking of NBC who lost the NFL rights to CBS in the late 1990s and didn't get NFL games back until a few years ago.
