I find it hard to believe that any of us still watch this crap. Seriously, nothing seems new, or fresh too me anymore. Nexus = nWo, EV2.0 = nWo (in a shitty way), Randy Orton = SCSA, and on and on. Not too mention Ric Flair, and Bret Hart among many others who shouldn't be within 100 feet of a wrestling ring. Kane and Undertaker has been done now what, 7 times.

I don't know, maybe it is time too move on from the world of profession wrestling and find something else too get into.

He said wrestling. ROH is awesome, TNA not so much.

There is also DGUSA, Evolve, countless indy promotions. If your in the Chicago area AAW is good to check out.

Watch WWE for their EPICS (Taker vs HBK as an example)
Watch TNA for X Division & good tag team matches

Watch the rest of the stuff if you can find it.

Hey Sasparilla Champ, what kind of movies do you watch? TV shows?

The "nothing new" argument is true of pretty much everything onscreen. Honestly, originality shouldn't be considered to be the end all. An unoriginal idea of quality trumps a poor creative one. Just ask the Russo haters...He did shit nobody would have thought of before, and Wrestlecrap fans everywhere rejoiced.

Then again, WWE is kind of boring as well.

Nexus and EV2 are not like the nWo at all. They are just stables of wrestlers. Also, Orton isnt like Austin wtf.

Orton just made his own gimmick, stop trying to put Orton down before he punt kicks your head.

Thank You Mr. Rammsteinmad... Wrestling isn't my life, just a hobby... and until the Jericholics are forced to sleep, I am still watchin'...

I watch mainly if I got nothing to do. And CM Punk is good.

I also watch just to see how everything is evolving. Witnessing the future right before my eyes

But yeah, in 99-00 even in 2002 I wouldn't miss any show. I'd watch religiously. Now it's more meh if anything. Probably has to do with me growing out of it, than the actual product.

Although, there still isn't that "Rock" character that's keeping me glued to the TV

For me, it was The Rock then old school Cena

Is Orton like Austin? At all?

Rattlesnake / Viper... so they have the 'snakey' moniker in common.

RKO is similar to the Stunner.

Other than those superficial similarities, is there anything there? Orton has gone from young legend killer to the quiet, dangerous sociopath. Austin was a working class hero who ran his mouth none stop and drank ale in the ring.

I dont watch it at all anymore, but I've thrown it on couple times in the last month and it's been unwatchable.

Yeah, and that's it. Also, they're both anti-heroes who will "Stunner" their allies as qucikly as their enemies, and since that's a core character trait and not a superficial one, that might deserve mention.

Maybe.

Orton and Austin are gonna be compared because they're both, at this point, antiheroes with their own agenda. The core of the two guys is basically the same, but, yeah, of course they're radically different in terms of what they do on the mic.

I think that the present is the best time to be a wrestling fan, at any given point (but especially now). We have access to footage of WCW/WWF from 15 years ago to go back and look at, and we have the storylines of today. Yeah, it's a bit of a lull and I think we are all waiting to be as captivated by today's stars as we were by The Rock and Austin, but it's really not a drag at all.

I will say that I bought a Nexus shirt and an old school Austin shirt recently and I won't wear the Austin shirt anywhere but around my friends lol the Nexus shirt is easier to pull off because no one really knows who they are, but the Austin shirt would stick out like a sore thumb and, I don't know, I just don't want to be looked at funny for being 23 years old and a wrestling fan lol.

I also have a Cena shirt, the bright orange one, which I exclusively wear when actually watching wrestling with my friends.
