Watching both Raw and Smackdown this week, I was pretty damn unimpressed by his delivery. He used to really play shit up, and I can see some of that in a couple of his lines, but mostly he sounds like he's just phoning it in. Or like he's forcing shit, like his "evil laugh."

He's been pretty solid for as long as I can remember, but this just kind of capped off a recent trend of...I don't know, not cutting it.

Am I the only one thinking this?

I don't know maybe its just me but I think Kane is definitely delivering more than ever. His promos the last few weeks have been very good and I consider Kane to be one of the better promo guys in the company which is interesting considering the Kane character originally didn't talk or when he did he used that voice box thing. I am ecstatic that he is finally champion and got to hold it more than one day. I hope he retains at NOC because I want to see him face Taker in a Hell in the Cell though it wouldn't matter since either way we'd get a cell match between them. Unfortunately, it won't be as extreme as previous ones but we'll finally get it. It's amazing how long they have feuded and they have never had a cell match.

If they are unifying the titles, they have Kaval, Bryan Daniels, Evan Bourne, Justin Gabriel, Yosh Tatsu... why not drop the U.S. title since it's pretty much on par with the IC title and bring back the Light Heavyweight title? You can even throw Morrison, Truth, and Kidd into that mix.

That gives you 4 singles belts and if they go to a unified heavyweight belt, they could at least feature the Light Heavyweight belt on Smackdown.

Most of Undertaker's "mind games" have been explainable by production and suspension of disbelief. Sometimes they go over the top, and that is where it kind of loses me. but shit like Kane doing the same tricks is okay, until the dude talks about powers.

Kane has ALWAYS had stupid 'superpowers' which are difficult to explain in reality. Even during the Attitude era, or just before, he was throwing fireballs and making lightening appear and shit.

It's stupid but who knows what his character is all about anyway? He came in as a physically scarred masked monster... now he's just a bald bloke with dodgy contact lenses, a corny evil laugh, no backstory other than the 'Undertaker's brother' thing, and apparent 'powers'.

Having said all that, he's STILL better than a lot of what WWE put out. Uck.

I've really been enjoying Kane's promo work. He's confident on the mic, has clear delivery, and as far as playing stupidly ridiculous characters go, Kane is one of the best at it (and if he weren't, they'd be a reason to bitch, because Kane's had a lot of practice at it).

The whole storyline is corny, but when you're involved in a program with The Undertaker, you have to be. As far as the whole "supernatural" bullshit goes, this is the closest I've come to buying into it, because I love Kane's character too much. They've done the best with continuity that they can, with Kane feeding The Undertaker's pride for years to the point where he could use it to take him down. I actually...like it. It's a mark's angle, but I'm truthfully enjoying it, probably mainly because Kane has been so dominant. But seriously -- given how ridiculous this angle is, Kane keeping a straight face requires commitment. He's doing well, in my opinion. I'll save my bitching about this angle until The Undertaker makes Kane look foolish again (which I am still far too optimistic won't happen).

Kane's evil laugh is awesome, by the way. Someone needs to tell Kane and Ted DiBiase a funny joke so I can just bask in the laughter.

This entire feud has been barely watchable to me. One of the worst things on SmackDown right now, to be honest. Less is more with these two...I don't need plodding 10 minute promos with background music.

Kane's promo work is the best in WWE at the moment I think. And it's his best work ever. This title push has been amazing for him, and if they can squeeze a cleanish victory over Taker during this, that would be fantastic! He deserves it and is proving himself a viable top star. The over production of his promo's is great, he will be amazing for Syfy.

This is a rare situation in this day and age where a veteran worker gets a major push and it works. He has the look, the character, and the writing team behind him. All he needs to do is stay consistent and healthy.

Sure his "powers" make me feel like an idiot for watching, but I don't think of it as "powers". I am just waiting for the day they introduce us to Kane's and Undertaker's other brother "Able" whom is head of WWE Special FX and production.
