anyone use it? i'm just getting started and want on the left side to have my photo, my work address, phone number and e-mail... basic contact info... can't seem to do it and not sure if it's possible... am I expecting too much from something free?

As long as you have a layout with a left column it can be done. Best way would probably to use the HTML widget thing. I'm not sure what it's called off the top of my head, but it's with the widgets. Kind of like a blank spot for anything you want.

Also yeah you could just use the "Text" widget in the Widgets section under Appearance. You can enter any text or HTML there and it should show up in your sidebar. The default sidebar is usually on the right though.
