kinda weird, he's a midcarder guy

"oh I'm not good enough for the WWE Title, I think I'll go for the IC and pay my dues first, and gain some more internet followings" [/deep voice]

Actually... this could work and be kind of big for him.

If they're trying to unify all the titles why not do this:

Have Daniel Bryan beat the Miz at N.O.C. Then you could have Kaval gain access to the I.C. belt by winning a number one contenders match or some shit. Have him beat Dolph (that guy isn't doing shit anyways) and then say that he's going to make history by unifying the I.C. and U.S. titles.

Let him and Bryan have some time to tear the house down at Wrestlemania and BOOM! instant star.

I would imagine the IC title, since i'd expect all of the NXT season 2 guys to end up on Smackdown (or at least the ones who they're gonna use)

and what with Daniel Bryan probably being the next US champ, can you imagine a unification match between the two of them? :o

Hopefully Laycool obtain the new unified womens/divas title and their former rookie decides that's the title he's challenging for. Runs to the ring, clotheslines McCool, Ki Crusher on Layla, 1 2 3, we have a new womens champion.... er, Kaval.

I dunno if that would be stupid or just plain funny.

Wow, NBT, that's a great idea and completely follows his character. I'm just not sure about him winning a title before cashing in his shot though... Someone in another thread said that Miz should win the title without cashing in his Money in the Bank, and use that as an insurance policy. I like that idea as well, although obviously these two story lines couldn't both go on at the same time.

I think a Kaval/Danielson unification match is inevitable though if both men have the titles. I think would be possible for Kaval and Danielson to set up that match without having to have Kaval use his title shot against Danielson and win the IC belt on his own though. Both of those guys are the type who would have that match "just to make history," so I don't think Kaval would have to force the match upon Danielson.

That being said, yeah, 100% Kaval for the IC belt.

He doesnt need to win a #1 contenders match, unless you are stating he is using his shot for the US title.

Yeah. That's what I was going for. I figured he'd get ultimate baby face status if after winning the IC belt, he would forgo his guaranteed shot at the heavyweight belt in order to make history and instead use it to challenge for the U.S.

Undertaker VS. Spike Dudley in 1999 would have been a decent underdog vs. phenom match.

I think the IC belt is the right choice but they'll have to make it a personal situation for him to do it. Why would you challenge for the IC when you can have a shot at the World Title? Unless you had a personal problem with the current IC Champ.

This is a very valid point.

Personally, I'd love to see Danielson win the US title, and have Kaval cash in his title oppurtunity at the next PPV. I don't know exactly how you woud build the feud itself, but I;m sure you could tie in their indy background, there similar arrivals in WWE, and how Kaval actually won NXT and proved his worth while Danielson didn't win a match unitl after he was dropped from NXT.

No matter the build, if given proper time, those two could tear the house down in a title match.

You're all forgetting that Miz has to become WWE champ and US champ at the same time. Meaning that the WWE title match has to be before the US champ match at NOC. Have Miz use his MitB to cash in on a devastated Jericho winning the title.

Miz becomes the first person to have both US and WWE title at same time - if only for 20 minutes because he immediately afterwards loses his US champ title to Danielson. Miz then goes on to lose his rematch for both belts and is left with nothing - which leads to some character development of one sort or another.

Then of course we can insert the awesomeness of Kaval V. Danielson unification match at WM (possibly).

Otherwise have Kaval find a tag partner and go for the Tag belts right away...

What's so great about being the U.S. and WWE champ simultaneously? Especially if only for 20 minutes on a PPV? Cashing in on a Jericho or Orton after being dismissed as a reality show hack would be enough to get him over. Why celebrate having a midcard title when you're the heavyweight champ. One's a midcard belt and the other is the top of the company.

By the way, I know you guys love him, but I don't see any legit long term heavyweight title reigns in Daniel Bryan's immediate future.

The I.C. Belt and the U.S. title have way more in common and served the same purpose in the WWF and WCW. Celebrating having both of those makes much more sense.

Is winning NXT like the MITB where you get a title shot at pay per view whenever or does it have to be a "I challenge you"

I think it's the "I challenge you" type of thing where the cash in is announced in advanced, ala Barrett. But who knows?

george

I think I remember hearing something like "a guaranteed title shot at a WWE pay-per-view" so I'd assume it has to be a challenge and not an impromptu type of match like MITB.

The reason for Miz "having" to have both is basically at

The above isn't the first time he's said it obviously, but it's what I could find. Anyway, ever since the first time he said it I've kinda just felt that it had to happen... As far as getting him over it mightn't do anything to further that goal, but I'd still find it hilarious.
