THONOTOSASSA, Fla. - Authorities say former WWE wrestler Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has been arrested on drug charges in Florida.
A Hillsborough County Sheriff's arrest report says the 55-year-old was arrested Sunday. The report says Neidhart was yelling outside a gas station yelling and was seen swallowing several pills.
The report says he had Oxycontin pills and methadone that were prescribed to someone else.
The sheriff's office says the person whose name was on the pills had reported that her medication was stolen from her home. The Tampa Tribune reports that Neidhart is being held on charges of possession and trafficking in a controlled substance and burglary.
Jail records show bond had not been set for Neidhart as of Monday, and it was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
Way to go, Jimmy.
Well he won't be making it to RAW tonight, that's for sure.

Dat ass.
K, moving on from Christina Hendricks, I'm not really surprised a wrestler was arrested for having narcotic painkillers on his person.

From the story: He was seen opening pill bottles located in the trunk of his silver Pontiac Sunfire, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s arrest report.
The image I had of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has been shattered by the thought of seeing him popping pills out of this

In all seriousness, there needs to be a pension plan or something established by the WWE to make sure that when these guys retire they can at least afford to live somewhat decently.
Making it to the top of professional wrestling requires so much time and sacrifice which prevents these guys from gaining other forms of work experience and skill sets and it's kind of shitty that these guys end up out on their ass like that. I'm not necessarily talking about Neidhart here, but it seems as if he's not doing so hot.

Not sure if it still currently ongoing, but Vince & WWE has/had an offer to ALL former WWF/E wrestlers to be put into rehab and fully paid for by the WWE.

He's a former WWE wrestler well past his prime. We should be use to stuff like this.

True, but still. You see his daughter and Bret out there. Plus with all the shit that's happened to the people he was close to like Davie and Pillman. You'd think or at least hope he'd be a little better off.

He has probably engaged in his fair of burgery since leaving the mainstream wrestling world.

If I didn't know about the arrest, I wouldn't be able to tell if that picture was from a mugshot or a WWF promo in 1988

You just know it's only a matter of time before she's busted for possession of catnip.

Two years after this thread, I wrestled on a show in Germany which had Neidhart in the main event. He was a fucking mess. Baring in mind this was 2012 and hopefully he's cleaned himself up now. I remember he did a little seminar type thing before the show for us, and he was gasping for breath and sweating buckets just climbing into the ring.

Neidhart in his prime was a fucking mess.
