View Full Version : On Raw Last Night...anyone hoping Jericho (Spoilers)

Spoiler space, though if you mouseover a spoiler topic, you deserve what you get. So anyway, after the Jericho match, and his loss to Morrison, was anyone hoping that Jericho would just snap and take out Michael Cole?
Edge's whole "destroy your voice" thing was a decent idea, but I'm waiting for someone to take out their frustrations on Michael Cole. It's logical, though not necessarily the best choice of action, but it opens up some interesting plot points.

Y'know what really baffles me with WWE logic regarding this situation? Okay, so Jericho's out of the Six Man Challenge, and on WWE.com it's now saying about 'will anyone step up to take his place?'.
Umm... What about... the guy who beat him?... Maybe?
Also, I hope this isn't a legit thing that Jericho didn't renew his contract, and that hopefully this is just going somewhere else.
They're definitely playing to the smart crowd with this storyline. They have us guessing because we know his contract is coming up. Wish they'd do more like this, because I honestly don't know where they're going with this.

That was I would have thought. Just can't understand the logic of not having Morrison take his place.

This is off-topic but I feel it is not thread worthy, The Khali/Edge restart was the biggest waste of time.

Yeah, why wouldn't they at least promote him as the leading contender?

Anytime Michael Cole gets beaten down on TV is a win for Inno

Gotta make room for HHH somehow.

I feel like someone will eventually either smash the computer or Cole's face. Either would leave Cole in the fetal position, so it would be good TV.

I was thinking that during their match. Jericho had something to fight for, while Morrison was just there for the match. Felt like Morrison should have had something to strive for as well.

You all have to admit though - never would have thought Jericho losses last night. Figured NOC was his farewell match (for now). WWE actually threw a nice swerve to the IWC. Good for them, but lets see where they go with it.
HHH Returns to take out Sheamus? Sound like a likely choice to me.

He probably re-signed and they don't want to give him the title now. If he goes into the match and loses, they're in a tough spot to keep him around, but if they take him out and go with the "downfall of Y2J" storyline," they easily keep him around.

Jericho is heading to the blue and white brand. Bank on it.

The whole thing with Edge is breaking the anonymous GM's voice is entirely uncalled for. This is a case where "Kill the messenger" is entirely acceptable.
But, yea I really hope that this thing with Jericho is going somewhere and not just fizzling out and him leaving quietly for a bit.

Michael Cole is an idiot for not mentioning Morrison as a top candidate.
I am just hoping the this is just the writers way of getting him out of the NOC stipulation because he re-signed with the company.

Whoever it is should smash the computer into Cole's face. Kill two birds with one stone, as it were.

If Jericho re-signed, I see a "Mr. America" type storyline. Maybe call masked Jericho "The Ayatollah"?

A little TOO obvious, but I like where you're going with this.

For some reason, I feel this is just going to end with Y2J getting his spot back next week somehow.
Agreed. Look at all the shit they pulled with the SummerSlam team...

Me too, and ultimately I hope it does. Morrison would be interesting to see in the match, but he wouldn't win. Jericho at least could win, though that's not likely either.
Then again though, Darren Young did make a guest appearance last night and I thought he was gone for good, and Danielson did come back at Summerslam... So, anything can happen I guess.

I think the majority of the fanbase agrees.

Are you being figurative? :shifty:
Honestly, since Edge is supposed to be ruthless, I'm surprised he isn't going after Michael Cole. Smashing a replaceable laptop seems dumb. I mean, OH GOD, HOW WILL HE CONTACT US NOW!
If only we lived in an era of modern communication.
But breaking Cole's Jaw sends a message.
I was hoping for the start of a face turn
I think that would be the end result if he snapped on Cole, but I don't care if he's face or heel.

I hope they don't cop out like that. There's no real point of dropping him from the match then bringing him right back, but then....WWE does it often enough. I mean, restarting the Edge/Khali match was pretty pointless, and I didn't even have to reach back a week for that.
I was hoping for the start of a face turn
Yeah, it looked that way to me after the match, it looked like they were trying to get us to feel sorry for him. Got a pretty good reception on the way to the back as well.
I was hoping he snapped on Cole though, after he said "tell me who the general manager is now!"

Pretty much. Though that likely would have been an instant face turn, and I'm not sure they wanted that. I don't get the hate for the GM, since like half of his decisions get cheered, but jacking Cole is going to get someone thunderous applause.

I love how when Jericho was yelling WHO IS HE?!, Cole acted like he had no idea who he was talking about
