View Full Version : Interesting Idea For WHC and WWE Unification

Okay...so Miz has a guaranteed shot at the RAW championship any time he wants...correct? How about...

He wins the Royal Rumble...chooses to challenge the WH Champion at WM27...wins that match...then cashes in his MITB after the RAW championship match...winning that one as well. He would then have won both championships at WM...and unify the titles the next night on RAW. That would be HUGE.

Any thoughts?

I hate Miz too. But I think it would give fans that HOLY SHIT moment that's been missing in the product for a long time.

I think it would cement his main event status for his entire career. I remember Jericho unifying the titles and being completely stunned. THAT is something WWE needs right now, imo.

The way I would do it is to have three matches at Wrestlemania. Have the winner of the Rumble challenge the belt of his choosing, then have another match for the other belt that same night. Then the two winners face off in the main event to crown the undisputed champion. Only for The Miz to come out at the end and cash in his briefcase.

Thanks? Lol. I'm actually typing this on my PS3...which is quite tedious.

Anyway...I really see something special in Miz. He has a natural charisma about him...kinda like The Rock had.

And for the record.....I am not Micheal Cole!!!

I think that would only weaken his first championship reign. To make it a strong one, he should atleast win one match for a title at WM. Doesn't have to be a clean victory. Him winning both titles in one night would be very unpredictable...especially if they dont announce a unification. And especially if they kinda drop the MITB thing...to make people forget he even has it.

Just my opinion though.

Good idea but i'd rather he win the WWE Championship at NOC first now that would be awesome.

I dont think it matters how he wins it, its how hes presented as a champion, if he gets a big win in the rematch and is presented as a credible title holder on raw then how he won the belt wont make it a weak reign.

The whole point of the MITB is to be the ultimate opportunist and cash it in at the best opportunity. Miz would be a (kayfabe) fool to actually give his opponent time to prepare for the match. It would also make him a bigger heel than ever to cash in on a Cena, HHH, or Orton to close out the biggest event of the year.

Given the poor presentations of champions lately, (Sheamus, Rey Mysterio just to name a couple) I don't believe a rematch would be the right route. He needs a strong reign from the very beginning, not starting at the next ppv.

I agree 100%. That is why he should cash it in following the WWE championship match. After winning the WHC prior, it will give that shocking ending to WM. Imagine Miz holding BOTH WWE and WHC belts, standing over Cena and Orton, to close out WM. Ratings would be high on RAW the following night.

The MITB is being presented now as an almost guaranteed title reign, the miz cashing it in on a guy whose already wrestled a match isnt cheap its smart, i dont think it would hurt him if hes presented strongly after hes won the belt. Kayfabe wise the rematch is mandatory, its also the most logical feud and depending who he took the belt off, a strong winning feud sets him up for a decent run with the belt. A cheap 1st title win didnt hurt Edge either.

While it may be cool, I doubt it would go down like that.

You've gotta figure that the WWE would promote a title unification as top bill, and have it be a huge selling point for wrestlemania. It wouldn't make good business sense for them to not promote something like that.

Good points made there. Cant really argue with that one. But I do believe that a big title match for the main event could possibly do well enough on its own without a unification being announced.

Exactly. They've been pushing Miz quite a bit. I'd like to see them do something with him instead of push then stop...like they did with Kane.

Both titles have been severely watered down, it's lost it's credibility by being handed down to pretty much everyone. It doesn't mean anything these days to say that you were WWE/WH Champion.

Having it be an UNDISPUTED title will mean much more now and the history of the belt can be started from scratch. Fresh clean slate

That would be a great kick in the ass for the wwe ,they need something like that just for not being stale and I agree that if the miz wins( and I'm NOT a Miz fan) it should be a solid run not no 2 months or 6 months it's been too much like that for a while now. needs to be a year or so,just to liven it up enough so Miz's ego get's so huge that someone not usually in the title hunt (Daniel Bryan maybe?) gets a shot and beats him in the next WM. :y:

I really don't see Daniel Bryan main-eventing any ppv....much less WM...any time soon. But I do agree that whoever unifies the titles (Miz or anyone) should have a lengthy title reign. Something of this magnitude would be huge for Miz's career.

The way I’d do it is to have three matches at Survivor Series. Have a match for the World Heavyweight Championship and another match for the WWE Championship that same night. The two winners face off in the main event to crown the Undisputed WWE Champion.

They should merge the two brands. Business is down, and the split has run its course. A storyline where brands merge and the World Heavyweight and WWE titles unify could condense the roster and generate a lot of interest.

Royal Rumble would make more sense than Survivor Series. I do agree about the brand merge though.

But the briefcase is for the Raw title ONLY. So if he did that he'd be un-unifying them as soon as they were unified.

No because now that the titles were unified, the Undisputed Title is the only title.

Then MIB contract would be void, since it is for the WWE Championship.

I'm sure a unified title would be named "WWE World Heavyweight Championship."
