amazing instrumental prog-metal band. got into them a few months back, but have been giving their carving desert canyons lp a fair bit of airtime lately as it is really fucking good.

I waited to be amazed, but found it rather blah.
Mitch, I'm disappointed in you.

Did you just admit to listening to metal? Since when?

i admitted to listening to instrumental prog-metal, yes. but i've been listening to metal in general probably for the last eight or so years, since i became friends with the lads i formed pride and consequently buildings with, one of whom i now live with (as well as his brother). they were raised on it, while i grew up with punk and ska, so when we moved in together there was a massive pooling of collections and lengthy explanations and appreciation-growing sessions of each others' back catalogues, and now, yeah, i kind of have a soft spot for certain kinds of metal.

This sounds like the soundtrack to a late PSX era racing videogame. Not really spectacular.
Listen to more Rush.

it's not the best song on the album by a long shot, but it was one of all of two that i could find on youtube. if you can find a good version of 'the great plains', get into it.
and more rush? you're fucking kidding me.
