2002-2010.

I'm not a huge fan of born again Christians, but he seemed to really turn his life around. He stopped being an egotistical jerk from what I can tell. He stopped trying to hold people down and put people down in the ring and out of the ring. Also getting his back mended and then quitting the pain pills from that injury was great. Mending the fences with Bret was a huge step in him becoming a better man if it wasn't kayfabe.

I think he had a longer time in the main event in this run with the company than his first run. He started as a singles wrestler in like 1992 and ran with the company until Wrestlemania IV. His stint as a main eventer started at like 1995 when he won the Royal Rumble the first time and went on until 1998.

He was a top guy all the way from 2002 to 2010. It doesn't really matter if he only won the World Heavyweight title once during this run. He had a lot of great series of matches with Triple H, Chris Jericho, John Cena, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Batista and of course against The Undertaker. He also managed to get JBL over as a heel again even though he had a broken back just like HBK had in 1998. His first run was basically all about making himself look good and how many titles he accumulated. This run was about putting on great matches and giving the fans their moneys worth each and every time he stepped into the ring. The Shawn Michaels in 1997 would have refused to job to John Cena in the WWF Championship match.

Congrats to Shawn Michaels for having an even better career the second time around.

The original dX era was great. His 1996 title run was somewhat decent.

Gotta go with the heel run from about August 1997 to WrestleMania 14.

I will say....

From his return to the ring in 2002, up until just before his feud with Vinnie Mac, whenever that was.

Most of the 90's and his last 4 years. Mainly because i got to see him at the D-x reunion tour and his tag match against evolution (were he made sure everyone got to see Ric Flairs bright white ass)

Pretty much anything since his return back in 2002.

I liked him before that, but the amount of amazing talent that he has worked with since 2002 has really made for some fantastic matches Ie: Benoit, Jericho, Triple H, Angle, Benjamin, Undertaker, Flair, Cena, Orton etc.
