Can you get away with it, as long as you don't get randomly tested?

What about opiates (painkillers)? Are they banned?

Apparently, Pride didn't test. The fighters looked more full and jacked up in Pride, just an observation

I don't know if it's the camera/lighting but if you compare footage from the UFC in 2001 or so, the fighters looked more jacked up back then compared to today

I'm looking at you, Reavent! :naughty:

The Athletic State Commisions does the testing in US and Canada, I believe UFC does it's own in places like the UK where they don't test.

Japan doesn't have an athletic commisison so it's up to the organization to enforce there own rules and policies.

Plus, Pride was shady as fuck with all the Yakuza influence and guys like Mark Coleman taking dives. They really only care about exciting fights, seeing all they'll let lightweights fight superheavyweights.

I dont believe they do random tests; just pee in a cup before hand and find out if they caught you afterwards (Sonnen).

They randomly test. In one of Matt Serra's video blogs for the Hughes fight he had to take some time out from training because he got called in to be piss tested.

I think because the State Athletic Commissions handle it, it's a little bit more legit. Especially the California Athletic Commission. California in general just loves to regulate shit. Nevada even defers to them.

Margarito tried to get his boxing license re-instated so he could fight Pacquiao in Vegas, and once Cali said no Nevada did too, but GOOD OLD TEXAS... just doesn't give a fuck.
