Don't you hate when you find a movie/show you really think will be awesome and then find out one of your least favorite actors is the star? I do. What actors/actresses do you avoid at all costs?

Max Payne. Only video game I've ever been enough of a mark for to want it to be made into a film/get excited about them making a film/find out Mark Wahlberg has been cast as Max Payne/cease excitement.

I don't know if I really feel this way. If a movie looks good, I will see it even if an actor in it usually sucks.
There are certain actors I can't stand like Brendan Fraser and Dennis Quaid, but it's not often they are in a movie that is actually any good or worth seeing.
If it is, I will see it regardless.

Richard Gere
Michael Douglas
Sean Penn

I generally agree with Jeritron in that:

If a movie looks good, I will see it even if an actor in it usually sucks.

But I have yet to see a movie that any of those 3 have been that would seem to interest me.

Dicaprio's acting has improved so greatly over the years. For the past few years just about everything he's been in has been gold, along with his performances.

Tom Cruise & Ricky Gervais.

I've only ever seen one Tom Cruise movie and that was Mission: Impossible III. That was only because I had to watch it in one of my classes in College a couple of years ago.

As for Ricky Gervais, I've only ever watched one thing with him in it and that was the episode of The Simpsons that he wrote and put himself into. I don't find the man funny at all, and when I heard about The Invention of Lying and Ghost Town, I thought it sounded good, but it turned me off when I heard that Ricky Gervais got the lead roles.

I went off Tom Cruise in 2005 with the whole Oprah couch-jumping shenanigans and spouting off about scientology every five seconds.

But lately I haven't minded watching his movies.

I try and be as open minded as possible, but movies starring Ben Affleck and/or Lindsay Lohan will usually turn me off.

Completely agree with this. Dicaprio has been superb in recent years and I'm not afraid to admit that he's one of my favorite actors right now. I'm so glad that he went away from the 'Pretty Boy' crap.

Ha!

I can kind of see what you mean...although I don't share your viewpoint. I'll watch a movie even if it stars Shia Lebouf. I just can't take him seriously however. I still see him as the clown that he was on Even Stevens...or whatever that stupid Disney show was called.
