I've never started a threat on TPWW, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I started thinking about the differences between Hulk Hogan and Terry Bollea. Hogan (at least when I was growing up), was built as the All-American, say your prayer, that your vitamins, stand up guy who stood for everything right. Obviously, no one is that good, but it seems to me that Terry Bollea is not even close to the image of Hulk Hogan. Not raggin on the guy, just my oppinion.

So, I started wondering, they say that great wrestling charictors are basically playing themselves, with the volume cranked up, but who are some more charictors whos real self did not mesh up with their persona (excluding those with "supernatural" gimmicks, we all know that the Undertaker is not really a dead guy who comes up from hell to fight other wrestlers).

I dont really agree with this statement at all. Most people watch wrestling to see outlandish storylines and over the top acting. I've seen interviews with Dustin Rhodes and he says he enjoys playing the character of Goldust (he even said he missed it when he was Black Reign). Scott Levy coming out and wrestling as a well spoken, intelligent man is marginal. Raven coming out and destroying his body to inflict as much pain on his opponent as he possibly can is much better


Side note, maybe I'm not the person who should point it out but you spelled Character wrong twice.

Everyone who talks about Taz say he's actually a big pussy despite playing the tough guy role.

Everyone says Vader was a big softy.

Something that surprised me was Booker T. I watched an interview with him discussing opening his school and handling his finances... he's actually kind of soft spoken and really knowledgeable.

HHH isn't Jesus. He's God almighty himself.

I remember reading that Beer Money was the opposite of who they are; Storm is the one obsessed with money and Roode is the heavy drinker. Dunno if that was true or not.

Also Big Show doesn't really stand at 7 ft tall. JK lol

That seems pretty far from reality.

On a side note... I just found out that Santino is from Mississauga, Ontario....
