As all of your prob wont know, I like ALL music tastes, from the classic rock tune ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking’ by the Rolling Stones, to the folk-rock tune that is Vesuvio by Spaccanapoli.
However, there is a lack of recommendations on female talent around here, so I was going to list some of the artists I got with a song and an example, then those who want to can do the same. Anyway heres some I recommend:
Aimee Man – (Anything she done is good. Check out the Magnolia soundtrack)
Garbage – I would Die For You
Janis Joplin – Spooky
Kasey Chambers – The Captain
The Creatures – Killing Time
I’m looking for kinds of songs with a female sing, singing with a simple maybe but relaxing beat and alternative tunes, like White Rabbit – Jefferson Airplane. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Anything by Norah Jones, for sure.
"Uninvited" by Alanis Morrissette. I'm not usually a fan of her stuff, but I love this song.

That's the one. It's so...haunting.
Also, I just heard "I Don't Like Mondays" by Tori Amos on a "West Wing" rerun, and that was hott (or "gangster," if you prefer).

If you're into an ska-punk at all, get some Dancehall Crashers and Save Ferris.

I'd say Lucia. She does some work with KMFDM, and has a solo album coming out... Check out her website...http://www.luciamusic.com/ (http://www.luciamusic.com/) . She has a solo album coming out... Her voice is amazing.

Is that that chick that sang that song "Brake Of Your Car"? If so she is awesome vocally and she's hot too. Althought I'm not really that familiar with her. I just saw the "Brake Of Your Car" video on MTVX a couple of years ago so then I downloaded the song. But I haven't heard anything else by her.
