It seems Bret is gonna be with WWE for a couple more years (he said so). He would definitely add more to the show by being a heel than the luke warm face he is right now. How do you feel about these possible heel turns:
Bret revealed as leader of Nexus:
He talks about how Cena took his spot and has it easy because he never faced the Hitman. Cena isn't the hero he pretends to be. Cena comes out to the ring, Nexus jump him and Bret puts him in the sharpshooter. we go to commercial when we come back Cena is still in the sharpshooter (lol).
Or bret turns on Team WWe at survivor series.
Bret turns on the Hart Dynasty :
He is sick and tired of them using his name and legacy to get a leg up in the WWE. He mentors the USO's to teach the hart foundation a lesson.
Canada Vs Usa : a revival of that angle (although its been done to death since)
I think Bret is a pretty good antagonist and can bring a bit of that old school heel back to WWE. How would you turn him heel ? what role would yo have him play on raw?

I think Bret would just be better off in a backstage role helping out the younger guys.
And definitely, no way, should anyone be revealed as 'leader of the Nexus'. Wade Barrett has that spot. The Nexus didn't need anyone to boss them around, their gimmick is great as it is.

Or maybe Sean O'Haire can come back and they can partner him with Bret.

The problem with Bret being a heel is that people pay money to see heels get beat up. Eventually, a heel has to get what is coming to them. Even in a non-wrestling role too. It doesn't matter if it's Vince, Bischoff, Stephanie etc.
Bret can't take anything close to a bump.

Jeritron,
faces get the shit beat out of them more than heels so that we feel sympathy for them and back them. Heels control the matches, use cowardly tricks, hide behind other wrestlers etc. Yes, they do eventually take a beating.
I think they can be more creative with Bret in the ring. He needs plenty of rest holds and no headshots or running spots.
How I would have booked Bret Vs Taker 900th raw.
Bret and taker square off. Bret backs in to the corner as taker throws his big right hand bret ducks under it and hits taker with a few gut shots. maybe even climbs the second rope to unload punches on takers head (ike he did at summerslam). The ref makes bret come down from the ropes.
Bret is arguing with the referee. Taker grabs his arm and sends into to the corner chest first (a short irish whip since they where close to the corner). Bret's back is facing taker. Taker gives bret punches to the lower back bringing bret to his knees . Bret is on his knees hung over the middle rope.
Taker runs the ropes as he approaches Bret, bret ducks out of the way and slides out of the ring . Bret then pulls taker to the ring post and starts to whack takers knee around the ring post.
Taker is writhing in pain in the ring. Bret climbs in and stomps on takers knee him. Holding the top rope Bret stand on takers knee for a few seconds (a quick rest). The ref breaks it.
Bret grapevines takers leg. Taker can push bret back down and drop his leg over Bret's Chest x3. Bret rolls to the edge of the ring under the ropes and lowers himself out of the ring to recover. ( rest time). Taker then takes some time to get some feeling in his leg and walk off the punishment he took. he goes to the outside. Bret grabs a folded chair from under the ring and hits taker with it. Taker no sells the chair shots . Taker is mad. Bret see's this, backs off and enters the ring by rolling in. Taker also rolls in. Bret is unaware taker is there. Bret is slow to his feet. taker is already standing.
Undertaker grabs bret by the throat for a chokeslam, the lights go out as Kanes music hits. While the lights are out Bret just lays down as if he has been choke slammed.
The lights come back up , Kane is behind taker! Kane chokeslams taker, laughs then leaves.
we could just end the match right here with Kanes pryo and music going.

I'm fairly sure he can't take any bumps at all. This doesn't just mean he can't take headshots or big spots. It means he can't do anything but strike. Anything else requires bumping and puts him at risk. He literally can't take any offense.
The best you are going to get out of Bret is what we saw at Wrestlemania. You can improve on that by doing a ton of run-ins and making things more exciting, like they did in the US Title match, but I don't think he can do much more than that.

Jeritron you obviously didnt see him at summerslam or his last match at MSG.
please look it up on youtube.
Bret can take small bumps like when vince kicked his crutch away, The impact from the elbow off the second rope at MSG. Vince kicking him in the gut.
He can't fall backwards because his head might hit the canvas too hard.
Too bad 80% of wrestling involves bumping on your back.
That interview doesn't mention anything about playing a heel.

There is a huge difference between a crutch being kicked away and taking someone's finisher. Just imagine how boring the Austin/McMahon feud would have been if Austin could only mildly strike Vince and could never give him a Stunner.
