View Full Version : Raw: The Next Two Months

So at this point we have two months until Raw, which reportedly will be two HHH-free months. Well kiddies, what to do?

First off, I think they need to have a Benoit/Edge feud. Keep your pants on, Edge marks, this feud will not give Edge the title, rather it will test his ability to hold his own in the main event scene. Here's how I suggest it goes down:

Next Raw, have a #1 contender 4-way match for the World Title. Participants: Edge, Jericho, HBK, and Benjamin. Amidst a clusterfu</>ck ending, have Orton take out Edge, leading to a match between the two opposite the SD PPV. In this match, Batista and Flair interfere, which brings out Benoit to his partner's aid. Benoit however accidentally costs Edge the match, building friction between them. The next week, amidst a storm of heat between them, they lose the Tag Titles to Conway and Grenier. This sets up a title match between them at Bad Blood.

Back to the #1 contender's match. As Edge is taken out, Benjamin tears after Orton, leaving Jericho to score a win over HBK. This sets Benjamin on course for Orton once the Orton/Edge feud wears out, leading Benjamin to become IC champ at Bad Blood. Jericho goes on to lose his title match on the Raw following Judgment Day, due to interference from the newly heel-turned HBK. HBK does not join Evolution, mind you, but goes on to feud with Jericho, culminating in an outstanding spectacle at Bad Blood where Jericho
gets the win.

As far as the Women's Division, I like what they've done lately with building up secondary heat between the ladies. At Bad Blood I think they should try something a bit daring and have two women's matches on the card. Firstly have Victoria go up against Gail Kim, dropping the title to her, and then have Molly vs Lita. See how the crowd responds. If the ladies can perform well, things should go nicely.

Additionally, now that Christian has an enforcer and a girlfriend, I think he needs a new feud. I submit Matt Hardy. The guy is definitely overdue for, if not a real push, something other than squashes. Set up Christian vs Matt, and interject Tomko into the deal somehow. Since A-Train has been doing (mercifully) nothing on Raw, maybe they could try another heel turn and have Hardy take him on as a new MF-er, or at least a bodyguard of some sort.

And I have no idea what to do with Kane at this point.

This leads to the following Bad Blood card:
Edge vs Benoit
Benjamin vs Orton
Victoria vs Gail Kim
Jericho vs HBK
Tag Title Match (probably La Resistance vs Hurricane and Rosey
Lita vs Molly
Matt Hardy vs Christian
Something with Kane

I'd lay money that Bad Blood is going to include another Benoit/HBK matchup, with an undercard of Orton vs Edge, Benjamin vs Batista, Y2J vs Tomko or maybe Flair, and Kane is eventually going to want to "feed on the innocent" so we'll end up with Kane vs Eugene. I agree with Hardy/Xtian..that could end up being a mixed tag w/Lita & trish in there.

I do like your scenario, though, and definitely wouldn't mind seeing it.

I think they'll have Edge be IC champ before Shelton. It's too soon for him. I'd say maybe Survivor Series or Summerslam.

If Edge gets the IC title, the following feud would be Benjamin vs. Orton. Its a bit far ahead, but I can forsee Orton beating Benjamin. Benjamin seems to be on a Evolution hunt right now, so I can see his current feud to be with Batista. He'll win against Batista, and lose to Orton. Having Orton lose the IC title to Edge would only be to have him compete for the World heavyweight title after his feud with Benjamin. Make it some kind of triple threat or 4 way or something with Orton and HHH teaming up to try to take out the current champion. This would be sometime around Summerslam I guess. HHH and Orton would lose the match due to Orton getting greedy and hitting HHH to take him out of the picture. Follow up with a feud between HHH and Orton, Orton saying that HHH is a has been and that he couldn't even beat up Shelton Benjamin. Possible breakup of Evolution by September. But like I said, this is just armchair booking and there's no way I can see what's going to happen that far down the line. So don't take my word too seriously. Right now this is just what seems most likely to me.

If Shelton's gonna be champ, he needs a new attire.

This is a little off-subject, but the Orton-Benjamin match I like. Others don't seem to think it's a good idea. I think it'd be cool if Orton beat him. Gives him another reason to claim that HHH isn't the right leader for Evolution.

Im not a big fan of this edge and benoit feud idea myself, i just ain't feelin it. I reckon we could see Orton V Benjamin down the line soemwhere for sure though, that's about the only one i agree with,oh and Y2J V that new guy is obviously gonna happen..well it should do anyway

That's a really good read there. I think the title picture will be mainly Benoit/Michaels or Benoit/Edge

I could see Orton-Benjamin as a TV match for the IC title, but as a PPV long-term feud I think that would really hurt Orton at this point. Edge-Orton makes a lot more sense. to me.

I dont see why they wouldn't do HBK-Benoit at the next PPV. I wouldn't even be against a title switch on RAW when HBK faces Benoit. Then they could have Benoit regain the title at Bad Blood. Or just have some cluster ending on TV, and then that leads to a rematch at the PPV. Either way.

Edge-Benoit doens't make much sense because they are both babyfaces, and I dont think Edge is over enough to carry a main event program. They could turn Edge, but I cant see that happening with Edge's book due out in November.

Christian-Hardy would be horrible for Christian. I think Christian-Benjamin would make for a better feud, while Jericho feuds with Tank (poor Jericho).

Yeah I pretty much agree as a long-term feud. But if Orton beat the guy that beat Triple H twice in a row (fluke or no fluke), it could easily cause questioning from Orton. Because Orton was able to take care of something that Triple H couldn't, beating Shelton.

Well it was kinda clear from Heat that Shelton's push to the top has come to a screeching hault. He went 50-50 with Rhyno, again on Heat, so I think that should clear up any arguements that Shelton is on the same level as Randy Orton.

Liek I said I would do a TV match with Shelton and Orton (play it up like its a big deal) and give Orton the decisive win. As you mentioned that could be used for the Orton-HHH feud down the line.

As if they haven't killed Kane enough.
