Who did you think will go further? Who's better and who has more potential?

Very interesting. Since breaking up I've been pleasantly surprised because both men have shown a great deal of charisma tha they didn't show in the WGTT. From Shelton teasing teasing Triple H and the intensity he showed when he went after Flair, to every single one of the facial expressions Haas has had in this mini-angle with Rico, both guys have showed a nice little emotional range.
Both of their ringwork is really strong. Shelton is a great athlete and uses it to his advantage and Haas wrestles like a classic heel and the Haas of Pain is one of the nastiest looking finishers in the company. Based on where they're at, Shelton is going to go farther faster, but I think they're both going to end up being stars. These two are going to be mainstays in the WWE.
So my pick at the moment is Shelton, but only because I hate whitey. :shifty:

Shelton by a longshot. He's a lot looser than Haas. And a couple wins of Triple H, flukes or not, are a good sign for him.
I love their style of wrestling, and how they're being developed on separate shows. Right now it looks as though Shelton Benjamin is getting the faster push seeing as how he defeated Triple H twice, and Ric Flair just recently. I'm hoping that Benjamin doesn't get a Brock Lesnar push because it's going to kill guys like Randy Orton and Christian who've worked harder to get where they are now on the card.
Charlie Haas on the other hand is getting his feet wet in the comedy department which is good because he's had absolutely no character when he was in WGTT, Shelton had the Fonz Factor. I think if Haas tries to look like he isn't pissed off all the time he'll get that Fonz Factor and build more charisma.
Overall I think they have equal potential: Shelton needs to lose the tights he wore in WGTT, get a better theme song, and use a more techincal move as a finisher (I HATE superkicks)
Haas needs to slowly build his momentum to get a push, and start smiling more, he's not Dean Malenko you know.

Yeah I agree, Shelton could use a huge makeover.

The white one.
Seriously, how often do you see a serious main eventer in the WWE who's BLACK? ;)
Shelton seems off on a better start, Haas could be huge though, given the right shot. I dunno

See? This is exactly why I hate whitey.
Seriously, though, I think Shelton Benjamin could use a Steamboat-esque Top Rope Cross Body Press as a regular finisher. Good times.

First i would have said Hass, as i thought he looked like more of a star. But since his push Shelton is gonna get there faster. But I think most people would agree within 2-3 years both these guys should be main eventing. But i've thought that about sooo many other workers as well.

Both guys are phenominal. I couldn't choose between one and the other, but if only one could be a singles wrestler, I would definately say Haas. Benjamin works so well in tag teams. :y:

But Main Eventing Heat is not a good sign for him.

Shelton will go further. He has more potential to do more at this time. Then again I also thought that Eddie and Beniot would be stuck in the mid card forever and look at them now.

I think Haas is a better technical wrestler, whereas Shelton has more flashy moves.
Its hard to judge either of them. I mean even though Shelton got some big wins in the last 3 weeks, I still think he needs a lot of work in the promo department. Same with Haas, although he hasn't really talked all that much.
There is the race factor, which is real, nobody should doubt it.
I honestly cant pick between the two with any passion, but if I had to choose I'll say Haas will go further.

They should keep these two away from each other for a LONG period of time and then down the line when they become more established, eathier they have a BIG feud or they would team up again. Not like a tag team so to speak, but just as a team where they would be going after another heel stable or something. The feud would be better though.

I was just skimming when I found this thread.
I think it's pretty interesting looking back, what we thought would happen and what ended up happening.
Shelton went on to success. Haas...well, we'll see.

Benjamin will go further.
Who is better? That depends. Shelton has a more exciting style, but also botches the occasional move (More on a couple of streaks). He's more charismatic, and thus a better all arounder. Haas has a great mat style, which is more technical and less "interesting." This holds him back, as does the need for a partner or something to carry him charismatically.

I like Benjamin a lot more, but still do enjoy Haas. I think both are great in the ring, and have the ability to put on entertaining matches. Benjamin pulls off some sweet moves, although he does have a tendency to botch a few high risk moves.
Benjamin have a lot more charisma, and comes off as a lot more interesting and exciting. Haas seems to come off as flat and bland. If he can change that maybe my opinion will change, but for now I think Benjamin has and will do more in the WWE.

Shelton is better overall in my mind. So I believe Benjamin will go further.

I agree that Shelton is better overall, but that's not to say Charlie Haas isn't great. Like Kane Night said, Shelton has a more exciting style, but botches occasionaly. Haas has more of a plain style, but is more solid. But wait, Haas does have that hobo beard. Now I'm torn.

I've always been a much bigger fan of Charlie Haas then Shelton Benjamin.
I think Shelton is the more flashy wrestler, but Charlie Haas has amazing wrestling skills, similar to Chris Benoit.
Charlie really needs to work on his charisma tho, whether through a manager, a tag team, or through hard work.
At the moment, I can't really see charlie Haas ever main eventing, whilst Benjamin could very well main event wrestlemania 23 (or 24)

Well, the WWE is behind Shelton Benjamin all the way... so Shelton Benjamin will go further than Charlie Haas. Some comparisons can be made between those two and between Edge/Christian. The WWE were hell bent on pushing Edge, and constantly leaving Christian with nothing. Even despite crowd reaction, match quality, merchandise sales, etc.

shelton is more exciting, but thats because of his style and storylines.
haas is like the most bland, whitebread guy on the roster, and while he is a good wrestler, having no storyline gives us no reason the care about who wins his matches.

ya know how to tell which member of a former tag team made it and which didnt make it?
the one whos theme music is the same as the former tag team's theme music didnt make it.
example: Marty Janetty didnt make it.
