I played GT4 so much, but I probably haven't put 2 hours into MUA 2 yet. I think MUA2 is the only game I have ever preordered, and I rushed to the store to get it the day it came out. Got home, popped it in right away and it just was deflating. It isn't bad, but it isn't what I had it built up in my mind to be I suppose. Especially after all the time I put into the first one. Even when they rereleased the DLC I got it thinking I would play, and I started it long enough to check out the characters and cut it off and never went back. I keep putting other games in front of it thinking I'll get this out of the way quickly then get MUA2 done.

Recently it was Batman: Arkham Asylum. I read all the previews, watched all the videos, and had myself convinced that this was not only going to be the best Batman game ever, but it was going to be a great game period. I definitely skipped class to go buy this thing first thing in the morning and then played it non-stop all day long and was not disappointed with it at all.

When I was a kid it was WCW vs. nWo: Revenge for N64. I and my friend were unbelievably hyped about the idea of being able to play as Goldberg and members of the Wolfpack. That game was awesome too.

New Vegas. I didn't play Fallout 3 until about 6 months ago and when I did play it, I played it for like 2 weeks straight and beat the game and all the DLC's. I couldn't wait to play more. I was not disappointed, tho I was not that impressed.
