Best he has ever been right now? He's had some "evil" streaks in the past but none as dominant as his current push.

No.

And why's that.

Kane was pretty god damn unstoppable during his initial push. Setting J.R. on fire, the ring crew guy, and just overall badass. When the first organ chord hit, and the lights when red, you knew whoever was in the ring was gonna get his shit fucked up. Plus, Kane with the mask is just so much more awesome in general.

That is why.

Surprised he even went over Taker in the Buried Alive match.

It just feels like something is lacking. Maybe it's because he's on Smackdown! But technically, his run is going good, even though he is main event lite.

It's easily his strongest push as he is the World Champion. As far as the best he's been I would say no. His character feels like a video game villain and he was better in the ring like in 2002 or whenever he came back trimmed down.

his unmasking went well though

Well yeah, considering his first reign was what, a day? LOL. I liked him when '02 as well, but when he first came on the scene...was nothing like that random mid-match ass whoppin on Flash Funk or whoever happened to be jobbin...

When he starts clipping people's balls to car batteries, then we can revisit this topic.

Kane was awesome when he first unmasked in 2003. He tombstoned Linda, he electrocuted Shane, I believe he set JR on fire again, and destroyed RVD, and my personal favourite... when Shane hit him multiple times with a chair, and then he fell off the stage, and literally a minute later sat up... and some of his facial expressions at the time were amazingly psychotic.

His push now is going a hell of a lot better than I thought it would have, but seriously, we all know sooner or later Undertaker will return and get his victory. I would love for this to have been the end of their 'final fued' (how many more of these do we need), it'd be nice if Undertaker returned and fueded wth someone else, leaving it to the record books that Kane won this rivalry.

I'll take a Kane push where I can get it, just wish it wasn't in the PG era...

wow, I didn't realize that this is his first real title run since 1999

I know he had a shot at the title again vs. Triple H in 2002 (Katie Vick angle), but I always thought he had another small run with the title between then and now. Looking at it, it was the ECW Championship, but that doesn't really count. It's like a sympathy championship when they give it to someone who's been in the game for a while (Christian, Kane, Matt Hardy etc)

How was his run with the ECW Title anyways? I wasn't watching back then. Was he just a transitional champion for that?

Again with the mask

Disagree with the original post. His first run in 1997, and his unmasking in 2003 were far more impactful and as you say 'evil' than this current run.

Come on, he hooked Shane'o Ma'cs testicles to a car battery in '03. He lit his mother's grave on fire in '97.

It was OK, or something. Not nearly as good as Jack Swagger's.

Actually, not even as good as Mark Henry's.

To be fair, none of the ECW title runs were memorable, accept maybe RVD's due to his winning it, and the way he lost it.

Christian's was pretty great, if you ask me.

The most memorable thing about Kane's ECW title run was winning it against Chavo at WrestleMania in 9 seconds.

For whatever reason, this World Heavyweight title run has been underwhelming to me, even though it probably shouldn't. He keeps going over in spots where he typically wouldn't (hell, I think I've picked against him in every Tipsters during the reign), and it's to the point where he's already had the 6th-longest reign in WHC history:

1. Batista - 282 days
2. Triple H - 280 days
3. Benoit - 184 days
4. Undertaker - 140 days
5. Booker - 126 days
6. Kane - 119 days and counting

Big Show actually made the title mean something for a little while there.

Ohhh yeah, Big Show has never looked more credible than his ECW title run.

Kane should have got this kind of push when he was like this:

Yeah, but then he had to go and fight the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 20. That push rested in peace.

Also, every big return needs to be made at MSG.

Well, given that it was actually Nexus that took out Taker, I'd liek to see Taker v Barrett when he returns.

I agree with this. MSG is always very hot and they seem to be hotter for the people who they respect.
