With The Miz's protege now with a DUI under his rap (and a nice mugshot)... what happens?

Does he get the axe? Slap on the wrist?

Discuss....

Well, Lance Cade was let go when he was running with Jericho- but that might have been more of a mutual thing...

If it were a woman- he'd be gone by now.

LOL at the mugshot, only time he hasnt looked goofy to me and he's drunk. Dont think he'll get pink slipped for it, he isnt the 1st guy on the roster to get a DUI, but wouldnt suprise me if he did.

We would like to send our condolences to Alex Riley for the loss of his WWE career. On a positive note, I wish Riley well in his TNA Career.

Job for a bit. Ted DiBiase got one in developmental and got a slap on the wrist.

I don't see too much happening to him...... His future push might be delayed a bit

Can't really see him doing much after this thing with the miz finishes anyway.

I hope he sticks around. I like him. He was the highlight of NXT.

Burn him from a stake.

Not really, but damn, people are stupid. And when they get some money, they are even stupider.

Now someone pass me a fuckin beer...

i like riley a lot I think the kid is a future star, he can eventually break off from miz, those 2 can fued for a bit with riley as the face then go from there, but I hope he is in long term plans for the company.

Depends how high Vince is on him, but since he's pretty low on the food chain I expect him to be humiliated in some capacity on an upcoming Raw and then fired the next day.

He adds something to Miz's character but he's pretty much a Virgil. No big loss.

This thing is, he's WAY more talented than Virgil. His mic work is great, and ring work is exceptional. Just because he's playing a lackey doesn't mean that's all he's capable of. I think he can be a top tier champ one day.

He'll be made to look a fool by someone. Probably Hornswoggle at Survivor Series or get an RKO/Punt from Orton on Sunday, then job for a few matches.

I get the feeling his job is safe, though the DUI will have hurt him.

I guess it depends on what kind of mood Vince is/was in when he hears/heard with how the decision making seems to have been over the last 6/12 months. The thought of a guy getting the boot for a DUI years ago would have been laughable but nowadays not so much.

Not that Miz needs it, but Alex did freshen up his character a little bit.

I would replace him with another sidekick and have Miz pretend like he doesn't know the difference. Just to show him how interchangeable he really is.

I can see Riley being released over this. There have been a few guys who have lost their jobs over a DUI. It does depend how the WWE is viewing themselves. If they are still playing politics, they will cut him. The very best Riley can hope for is a move down to FCW after being written off TV and a stint in rehab, or something for appearances' sake.

He's got the goods, and just needs time to develop; but man the guy is a fucking idiot for doing this. I fully expect him to eat a punt from Randy Orton in the coming weeks, writing him off television.

Probably stays as Miz's lackey but also doesn't show up every night for a short while as a punishment (ex. upcoming PPV if Miz cashes in the case).

Must be a new curse involving Cena and a former NXT wrestler having a match and then something bad happens later. So far Darren Young ever since he said he was the Black Cena and lost to him in a match, Tarver getting hurt, and now Reily getting arrested after wrestling Cena earlier in the week. :shifty:

...also, the word "developmental". Unless he wasn't that good and they were just looking for any excuse, or about to get called up and seen as a potential black eye for the company, chances are they would've swept it under the rug now that Linda's campaign is over*.

I think he'll just quietly dissappear for a few weeks and come back like nothing happened. It's not like he's neccessary for Miz to draw out the whole case angle. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they are essentially re-hashing the Kennedy... Kennedy push and have him draw this out until WrestleMania. By that time, this DUI will be a distant memory and A-RY can get his push after Miz becomes champ.

*Complete sarcasm due to another topic from another time. Sentence actually ends as "rug."

It probably doesn't help his case that if they wanted to do away with him, they easily could without even having him make another appearance. All it would take is Miz coming out and saying the loss on Raw was the last straw and he got sick of Riley losing every time, he's clearly not awesome, etc.

It was a dumb move on his part, but it wasn't as dumb as, say, partying it up in every city when your kayfabe role is being in a straight edge stable.

I really don't think he'll go anywhere, the guy isn't some green jobber who can't speak, he has a lot of potential.

Alex and Miz remind me of Kennedy and MVP in late 2006, two awesome heels that could run the show one day.
