From PWInsider:

Vince McMahon has signed a new employment contract with WWE effective Jan 1, 2011 for three years with additional year extensions unless WWE or McMahon choose not to extend.

Besides his current roles as Chairman and CEO, he will serve as Creative Director as well as be a writer and performer. He'll get an annual base salary of $1,100,000 as well as be entitled to receive an annual bonus target of 100% of base salary, depending on degree of achievement of corporate and individual performance.

He, along with immediate family members and invited guests, will be able to use the company aircraft for personal time if it's not in use for business purposes. He's entitled to 4 weeks of paid vacation per year. He cannot compete against WWE or its affiliates while under contract or if terminated, for up to one year after termination. If he is terminated or resigns with good reason, he will receive twice the amount each of his base salary and annual target bonus along with other accrued benefits.

what strikes me as surprising is he only gets 4 paid weeks of vacation. wtf, he owns the WWE. I would give myself like 9 months

Vince makes that much on PAPER....don't let the SEC fool you lol....he still makes money from merch he may create as well as being a performer.

A $1.1m downside. Has to be the highest paid 'performer' in wrestling, not bad work if you can get it.

I want to know who holds the power to fire Vince McMahon if they think he's under-performing.

Dunno but if he's underperforming, he's probably being held down by Triple H.

I heard Vince was in the doghouse because he didn't want to join CM Punk's stable.

It's called a Board of Directors. Basically the majority shareholders or their representatives.

Vince also has a one-year no-compete clause.

Holy $h!T. Totally caught me off guard, as I thought he has had so much bad luck in the past 6 years, you'd think he is injury prone and not rehiring material.

Afterall,

He's been blown up, buried alive, ran over, put in a coma, and lit on fire. I mean come on people, this guy is AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.

So before WWE went public, Vince didn't have to sign a contract and stuff? He was just the owner and that was that?

I believe Vince McMahon is still the majority shareholder, but they answer to ALL people who hold stock in WWE. The only difference being those who hold a shitload of the WWE stock obviously have louder voices.
