Please spare me the Ovy and Sid comments, everyone loves them, yadda yadda yadda.

I have the template, so go through each team and tell us why you like who you do.

Anaheim -
Getzlaf - My favorite player in the game, one of the most well rounded out there and in my opinion is what a hockey player should be
Perry - See above

Atlanta - Kane - He could get by on the fact he knocked out Cooke, but the fact he is a ifted young player who plays with an edge, puts him on this list

Boston
Rask - Liked him from the first time he played in Providence
Lucic - Power forward with hands, my kinda player
Thomas - Persevarence and now on top at 36
Chara - One of the best dman in the game today, love watching him.

Skinner - Amazing player, with amazing hands.

Chicago -
Toews - One of the best at what he does

Colorado -
Duchene - Will be captain in 5-6 years in my opinion, guy is a born leader

Columbus -

Eberle - Mr fucking Clutch

Florida -
Stillman - I remember watching this guy when I first got really into hockey, one of my all time favs

Streit - Great underrated dman
Tavares - Liked the kid since I seen him in Junior

FA, you have too many favorite players, lol. Traditionally, a favorite or favorites are a select few. :p

lol, I'm finally coming into acceptance of the new generation after all my favorite players from my childhood have retired.

Kris Letang - liked him as Captain of the world junior champs, he's finally finding the success that I expected of him in the NHL.

Drew Doughty - he played OHL in my hometown and I watched him play live many times, awesome that he made the Olympic team and played amazing.

Jason Spezza - always liked him for some reason, lol

Jonathan Toews - class act

Dion Phaneuf - was my favorite player on Calgary, now that he's on the Leafs, I'm sort of 'meh".

Not to hy-jack the thread, but my REAL favorite players:
Mario Lemieux
Paul Coffey

Wade Belak: started off as a joke with my friends, but we became friends with Wade. He invites us down to Wings games and we shoot the breeze with him.
Colton Orr: bascially whoever is the current Leafs enforcer becomes a fav.
Ovechkin: just cause he's awesome
Sean Avery: I friggen LOVE Sean Avery. I know fans bitch about him but he's effective and one of the few players that are actually interesting and have a personality.
Really digging Stamkos right now as well as Drew Doughty.
My favourite goaltender is definitley Henrik Lundqvist.

Players I hate: Alfredsson, Maxim Lapierre and Dan Carcillo, although I hate Carcillo kinda the same reason I hate Lucic, because their fans claim they are the toughest in the league and never lose fights. I'd kill to have them both on the Leafs though.

I'd take Kesler over Datsyuk simply for durability.

To answer the question: Milan Lucic for me. Reminds me of Cam Neely. I'm still pissed about the Canucks trading Neely. I hope the Canucks can sign Lucic away from Boston...I know it's unlikely, but Milan was born in Vancouver, played for the Giants(MVP while winning the Memorial Cup.) He has a big fan base in Vancouver, so if any team could do it, its the Nucks.
