What's next for Raw main event?

Now that Cena is out of the picture, what's next for the Raw main event scene? Where do you all see everybody fitting in at? I see the main eventers as Randy Orton, Miz, Wade Barrett, and hopefully Sheamus getting back into it. But with HHH hopefully returning soon, and a few other upper mid-carders looking like they could get a main event push.

Who do you think will be feuding, who do you think will be the main event heels and faces, who do you see feuding with Miz for the belt?

The only thing that I can predict from whats going on right now is Miz (heel) vs. Orton (face) feuding for the belt. Other then that, there really isn't any other face main eventers that are over, what with Barrett and Sheamus being heels. Maybe Morrison getting pushed to main event status? I also assume when HHH returns he will be face, even though I'd love to see him go heel.

So yea, what do you all see happening on Raws main event scene from here on?

Also, semi-related question: Why is Cena taking a break? To promote a movie or something? Any idea around when he will be returning?

2 first time champions this year, that's good going for the WWE. To my knowledge, the only guy who won a belt for the first time in 09 was Sheamus, please correct me if I'm wrong.

For Raw's main event I'm hoping Orton doesn't win the title back any time soon because he's becoming stale.

As for Barrett, they've made him look quite weak, losing all 3 of his title shots, and with Cena gone for now I don't know who the Nexus's next feud is going to be with.

HHH will have a revenge feud with Sheamus before anything else, so you're right, the Raw title scene is confusing.

The easy option is to put the belt back on Orton at TLC because there's more options for opponents, but hopefully WWE will do something more creative.

They're in a weird place with this. I see Miz becoming more of a tweener now since he likely is going to have Orton and Barrett going after him and has cut promos on both. Plus we don't really know how long Cena will be gone for... WWE might have him come back as the GM or some shit...

If they keep the belt on Miz he will be overshadowed by actual Main Event talent. Barrett vs. Orton will go on for awhile. Triple H will probably come back and carry Miz to some decent matches.

I agree with Orton's gimmick becoming a bit stale, but I honestly think with a few tweaks here and there with it, he could be mega-over. I love the whole blacking out/viper thing, but with the WWE being (hate to bring it up, but) PG, I don't think they allow him to be as vicious and ruthless as he would need to be for his gimmick to be mega-over.

I agree with a HHH / Sheamus feud, Hunter being the face and Sheamus being the heel.
Then maybe a heel Miz, face Orton feud. Barrett of course would be throw in the mix, too. I'm just curious to everyone's opinions and ideas, I haven't been this interested in wrestling in a long time. Ever since Nexus came along, the anonymous GM, and the rest of the main event scene on Raw, I haven't missed an episode. Always excited to see next week's show, which hasn't been the case in years for me.

Yeah, don't think Orton and Barrett are over yet. Probably gonna be a triple threat at TLC and then they'll move on.

Daniel Bryan and Miz still have a rivarly going on and Miz could show up next Raw next to Bryan all happy he won the title while Bryan won a lower quality title in his view. Probably good as a mini-feud or filler in the bigger Barrett-Orton-Miz potential feud.

Morrison wins KOTR and gets added to the Orton rematch at TLC, triple threat TLC.

With Cena gone, who do you think the main face fighting for the belt will be. Orton I assume? I don't see what other face is over enough to fight for the belt. They could push Morrison and Bryan, but they will definitly take longer to get over as the main face then Orton.

Does anybody know why Cena is gone for the moment?

Miz/Orton is inevitable at TLC.
Orton will get his rematch and hopefully lose.

Morrison/Miz seems probable for RR. If Morrison wins the KotR, he's my odds on favorite atm, then I could see him using that as a jump into the title scene.

I honestly see Miz keeping the title until Elimination Chamber where he defends it against Orton, Barrett, HHH, Morrison, and Sheamus.

How come it seems as if the majority of the posters on here don't like Orton that much? I actually find him (along with Miz) to be the best in the biz right now. He's the total package to me, the look, good in the ring, awesome gimmick. I mean I know he isn't the best on the mic, but he isn't horrible. In fact the only people on Raw I find as fun to watch as him are Miz and Sheamus, and I prefer Orton over the 2 of them, especially in the ring. I love his move set (that neck/backbreaker, the RKO, the punt, the DDT off of the middle rope, the scoop slam). I don't know, everyone has their opinion, just curious to why everyone seems to be against Orton.

Like to see Miz vs Bryan ,title for title match with riley interfering, getting thrown out by the ref and Bryan winning by submission....it's a long shot I know, but what the hell... lol

I see Morrison coming in and being dominant with Bryan, DiBiase, & R Truth thus taking the B card filling in for Miz & Morrison.

I definetly see Morrison winning KOTR. No doubt as it'll give him credibility and momentum for his push.

TLC: Miz V Morrison V Orton V Wade in a, um, TLC match, duh.

That would be epicly awesome, especially if Wade picks up the belt.

Morrison could be interchangeable with Bryan. Basically, whoever wins the KOTR (if they can do some decent spots)

Maybe he's got some movie I don't know about, or he's taking time off for personal reasons; but my guess is that the reason Cena got "fired" is because it makes a compelling storyline that gets people interested in what is going to happen next. It's the same reason Cena joined the Nexus, and it is the same reason there will be a point where Cena gets his job back and Barrett shits himself.
