I'll be the first to admit that I'm one the "complainers", and haven't really been into the product like I used to be in quite some time. In fact, I actually hadn't watched any wrestling in several months up until the Old School Raw.

I loved the old school Raw and actually really loved this weeks Raw and don't have much, if anything, to complain about. I even really liked the Cena segments. Granted, I missed the first 30 minutes, but I really enjoyed this weeks Raw.

One thing to bitch about though, it's really minor, is Morrison's slow motion entrance spot. I just don't think it adds anything to his "character" and actually distracts me and takes me out of the show, IMO. Other than that, I really liked Raw.

K just got back. Awesome show. Almost thought Lawler was gonna win for a second. Cena entered the arena a section over from me. Lawler probably got the second biggest pop of the night next to Cena. CM Punk didn't even get a proper introduction before Raw. I missed the first match of Superstars so he probably came out before that. Del Rio cut a great promo during commercial asking why everyone hated him. All in all, great show for my first taping event.

As said, this was an awesome RAW. The Cena stuff is getting A LOT better. Yes, Cena is still Superman, but the writing is 100 times better for it. Purging the writing team was clearly the way to go, and I've been saying that all along. The RAW product is far from perfect, but if they continue down this line I see great things ahead, especially for the road to WrestleMania. It's like the old school RAW was a reset button for the brand.

The slow motion entrance is pretty much the only shred of character Morrison has left. The guys in ring ability is fantastic, it's the personality department he's lacking in. Phasing out the rest of his "Enlightened" gimmick in favour of generic face #4 hasn't done him any favours.

Great show though, always love KOTR. Punk on commentary makes it so much better. His whole reaction to Mysterio stole the show, much like Rey Mysterio stole his car.

There's nothing wrong with a champion having television matches with someone way out of their league.
Back in the day, The Rock and HHH always had title matches against guys who didn't have any business being there, and it was always entertaining.
Plus, as said, the match was designed perfectly. Such an entertaining main event. Felt exciting for a change.

Plus King getting a title shot played into the whole King of the Ring theme of the night, and it being his birthday.
It furthered Michael Cole's heel turn, and worked well for The Miz.
And it was great promotion for the TLC. They actually gave away a free TLC match to promote the PPV, but had it feature Jerry The King, so it's not like they were blowing their load.

Punk did an excellent job of 'protecting' Miz off the back of constantly referencing King's experience/'legend' and how Miz was 'inexperienced' as a champion and that it only takes 1 mistake to lose a match like that with somebody that's been around as long as King. It came across like the only thing that could lose Miz the match was his arrogance and inexperience, not because King was going to kick the fuck out of him. Like Jeritron said, it was pretty much perfect.

It doesn't "get under my skin." This is what Miz's push has been building to so storyline-wise it makes sense. I don't think he's a particularly good wrestler but worse have held the belt. All I said was they didn't do him any favors by making him squeak by Lawler.

To be fair, I don't think he'll hold the belt long enough to take on HHH.
