SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* SmackDown opens with tables, ladders and chairs in the ring. Rey Mysterio calls out Alberto Del Rio. Rey vs. Del Rio is announced for the TLC pay-per-view. Rey put Del Rio through a table and left.

* Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre beat MVP and Kaval. Kane them came out and chokeslammed MVP and Tombstoned Kaval. Kane called out Edge. Edge appeared on the big screen with Paul Bearer on a loading dock. Kane chased off after them.

* Kofi Kingston beat Jack Swagger.

* We see on video an obviously fake Paul Bearer being crushed in the back then being pushed down a flight of stairs. Kane continues to follow Edge, who is still wheeling Bearer around.

* Cody Rhodes beat Chris Masters.

* Layla beat Rosa Mendes. Layla and Michelle McCool attack Rosa after the match but Hornswoggle comes down. Beth Phoenix then comes out and makes the save. Then Swagger's eagle comes down and hits Hornswoggle. Beth ends it by hitting her finisher on the eagle.

* Edge beat Kane in the main event. The stipulation for their match at TLC will be Tables, Ladders and Chairs. Edge brought out a fake Paul Bearer and took the real Bearer away strapped down on a flatbed truck.

Swagger / Kofi was once again fantastic. Both these guys have been impressive lately. I hope Edge beats Kane for the belt, only so I can have the absurd hope that Christian comes back and faces him for it at Wrestlemania.

Crowd was dead this week, they didn't even put any in on post production. Didn't really enjoy the show as much as the past few weeks.

Saw abit of kofi/swagger earlier, was a good match. Haven't watched the rest of the show yet. Oh yeah saw the Rhodes match to and can see them going somewhere with him atm, though i'm sure they'll fuck him up somehow.

* I loved the tag team match. MVP and Kaval looked like tag team partners, and it seemed like MVP was just about to get some swagger back as he leaves. I'm intrigued about the slot he opens up, though. Big Show, Edge and Rey Mysterio are all faces, but too high for the mid-card, and with Christian on the shelf, that pretty much leaves Kofi Kingston as the only real babyface on the roster with any sort of credibility. This means that Kaval, Chris Masters and even Trent Barreta may get a crack.

The right team went over, and the faces looked good in defeat. Perfect booking. Drew McIntyre also seemed to be acting more cocky than he normally does. A slight change in his character might do him good.

* Kofi Kingston beating Jack Swagger again only continues to make him look awesome. Swagger and Kofi are consistently having the best matches of the week, and their stock is only going to go up. My only concern about these two is that I worry that creative is spinning their wheels with them. More so Kofi Kingston than Jack Swagger, who is just being put through the "we don't want you to go running off to MMA" phase. Kofi gets another shot at the IC Title, and it doesn't feel fresh at all to me. Kofi should be moving up to the main event, if anything.

* Has Chris Masters improved or what? The guy is such a steady hand these days. I liked the way he essentially dominated the entire match until Cody hit two moves and won it. It makes Rhodes look sneaky and effective; but Masters also looked better than he normally would -- which is just as well, since he's a Pro for NXT 4.

* I've got to be honest -- I didn't watch the main event between Edge and Kane. This storyline isn't exactly thrilling me. I'd rather Edge have made it all about the World Heavyweight Title, and how his destiny to be a ten-time World Champion is far greater than any supernatural claim Kane can make.

I just watched SmackDown, it was alright though the Kingston/Swagger match was easily the best match in my opinion. Though I did want Swagger to win as I'm getting a bit bored of seeing Kofi always in the Intercontinental Title scene. :-\

I wouldn't mind seeing a Jack Swagger Intercontinental Title reign, though with Ziggler as champion, it was pretty obvious Kofi was going to win.

Though I do have to say "Poor Chavo" also. The guy has a great wrestling history yet he's portraying a cheerleading eagle mascot that just got his ass kicked by a woman and a midget. But, if Chavo's happy with it, then fine. It is an easy job though, dressing up as an eagle and pretend to soar around the ring. Easy money.

I didn't quite understand the point of the main event though. Isn't the point of a PPV to pay to see a certain match, yet we just saw the World Heavyweight Championship match on SmackDown, but the only difference is that the title isn't on the line and nobody is getting a chair whacked on their back or climbing a ladder.

Also, Cole's commentary was pretty bad during that match. One minute he's saying how he feels sorry for Kane because Edge is screwing with his mind with all these mind games, then not even five minutes later he's saying how Kane deserves what's happening to him as Kane's done those sort of things to countless people since being in the WWE. :wtf:

But overall, it was a good SmackDown, but it pretty much was a carbon copy of the last two previous weeks.

Kofi/Swagger was great, despite like three botches.

The Edge/Kane feud makes me embarrassed to call myself a fan. Fucking awful.

The idea behind the main event was to put over that Edge can beat Kane, I think. And that Edge's mind games are working, and he has the advantage heading into TLC. It's just a way to convince kiddies that there will be a title change so they buy the PPV.

I truly think that Edge has reached his "ceiling" as a wrestler. He transformed himself with the "Rated R Superstar" thing, and had great success as the "crazy heel guy", but I really think that he has done all his limited charisma allows him to do. He has reached HIS potential.

I really do hope Christian can make it back in time for a WrestleMania match against Edge. I think that would be awesome, especially if Edge put Christian over.
