I don’t know how end of the year awards work around here, but since the Slammies are coming up I figured I’d get the ball rolling on one.

Send me a PM with your choices of nominations of as much categories as you have opinion on. Also if you can suggest other categories that would be fine too and I’ll set up a big poll after I get the nominations.

The top five nominations for each category will be selected.

The nominations will be due by December 6th (After Raw ends) so we can have a week of voting before the WWE Slammy awards on the 13th.

The winners will be officially announced on the TPWW Chat at justin.tv/thexeroguy during the Slammy episode.

I was kinda torn over whether superstar of the year should have gone to The Miz or Wade Barrett.
I gave the nod to The Miz because he capped off the year with a title win. It could have easily gone the other way.
Plus Barrett didn't really make a splash until the summer (despite being great on NXT)

Sheamus was right behind too. Luckily he was last year's rookie, so I didn't have to choose Barrett over him in that category too.

Sucks for Danielson that he isn't rookie of the year. Almost any other year he would be, but Barrett is just incredible. He was a title win away from taking all the categories.

lol what this couldn't be more opposite to a botch. That's actually legit one of my favourite moments of the year, Batista was the fucking man during his heel run. If he was around longer than a few months, I'd probably vote for him in most categories.

And not to shit on the thread but this could be done 'properly' with some voting for certain categories and so on, an 'Official TPWW' type thing. Face of the year, heel of the year, team of the year, character of the year, worst wrestler of the year, worst match of the year, don't see the need for champions of the year, episode of the year, TV show of the year, the internet stuff etc. Just could be a pretty good idea/thread with most of the wrestling forum getting involved and lots of votes. Just wanted to bring it up while the thread is still 'young'.

I don't see the need for character of the year because character is combined with Superstar. I didn't say wrestler of the year which means that everything about the superstar is combined (wrestling skill, mic skill, ring pressnces, the it factor.) -Superstar of the Year: The Miz - overall, the most entertaining guy of the year.

-Best Championship (belt) of the year: In terms of value? The WWE Title.

-Best World Champion of the year. - John Cena, but that's not saying much. There were not any really good reigns this year.

-Best Undercard Champion of the year. - Daniel Bryan as US Champion, just because of the strong matches he's put on.

-Best Diva. - Michelle McCool - I'm always entertained by Laycool and I'll go with McCool since she is the main girl in the duo.

-Rookie of the year. - Wade Barrett.

-Match of the Year - Undertaker vs. HBK at WM was a classic. Off the top of my head, there were not any other candidates.

I think it could be one of several different reasons. First it is because him winning the championship was very recent and very memorable. The fans saw the Miz grow up into the great wrestler that he is today. He grew from an MTV parasite to a WWE champion and did all of that in just about 5 years. Nobody thought he would amount to anything and look at all that he has accomplished.

They also might be hoping that The Miz's reign becomes as legendary at the other people on the list. Maybe they think winning this award will make him have a long reign or just their hope for one.

Third: He's the Miz and he is awesome.

Fourth: A Champion in WWE that isn't John Cena. :y:

i believe i submitted my answers via pm..figured i would post in here, some minor changes, some questions i didnt get, and for some categories i forgot there was TNA, lol..
-Superstar of the Year: The Miz, like my name didnt give that away
-Best Championship (belt) of the year-looks wise, US, fued wise, world heavyweight, had some good matches with jericho, kane, etc
-Best World Champion of the year.Kane
-Best Undercard Champion of the year.Ziggler (im not sold on bryan, i know i will catch heat for that)
-Best Diva. cant pick just one, laycool..seriously flawless...cheesy i know
-Rookie of the year. Barrett or del rio..i love Del Rio..purely platonic
-Match of the Year Taker vs Micheals at Mania
-Comeback of the year. prob gonna get heat here too, but gonna go with Jeff Hardy...top guy in TNA as of now.
-PPV of the year. Hands down for me was Mania (my first live Wrestling pay per view i ever attended...outstanding
