Is there any sort of simple free YouTube ripper, like Dirpy was, out there? I can't be arsed to download any software.
Are you willing to install a Firefox or IE extension? I use a greasemonkey script that puts a link to MP4 and FLV files of differing resolutions (if available, ranging up to 1080p) directly on all YouTube pages.

Like an Add-on? Possibly.
Greasemonkey: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/
The script I use: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25105
You don't have to go through third-party sites. It directly downloads the file from YouTube's server.
