Bret Hart was interviewed by The Sun three days ago, I just thought it was interesting what he had to say about some stuff.
There's also a video of the interview on their website so if you can't be bothered reading it all, then I've posted the same video that's on YouTube at the end of the quote, it's also just incase it's one of those videos that doesn't work due to your location.
WRESTLING legend Bret Hart would consider working for TNA in the future — but only if Hulk Hogan quits the company.
Hart is currently enjoying being a WWE employee again after burying the hatchet with owner and former nemesis Vince McMahon.
The Hitman wrote his name into wrestling's history books during a 13-year spell with McMahon's group before joining WCW in 1997 following the infamous Montreal Screwjob. And he would give an offer from TNA some serious thought if Dixie Carter decides to say farewell to Hogan, who has come to dominate storylines in Florida without wrestling a single match.
Hart, 53, told SunSport: "I think TNA is seen as a serious rival by WWE, but not by the actual wrestlers. TNA's more of a wrestling show than a company because of the lighter schedule. We all think that competition is better, but WWE normally stamps all over anybody that thinks about taking them on. TNA's reached out and got Eric Bischoff and Hogan — and that's where I'd take issue with their overall plan."
"They spent several years building their young stars and, like with what happened to me in WCW, I just sense they don't have enough brains between them to keep all the other guys going where they need to go. I fear TNA simply bought the names and they're going to get the same baloney we all did in WCW."
"No matter how old he is, or what kind of shape he's in, Hogan believes in his heart that he's the star of the show and he is wrestling. I don't think he gives a damn about anyone else. I'm one to talk considering how old I am, but I think I know my place in wrestling and I'm pretty careful about what I do."
"I can't even begin to imagine Hogan wrestling somebody like Samoa Joe, who is in his prime right now. I have a lot of friends there and I would never rule out working for the company. But I certainly never see myself there while Hogan or Bischoff are. I think I'd rather not put myself through that again."
Hart held multiple titles in WCW but maintains his run with the now defunct group was not handled properly by Bischoff. He joined amid a wave of publicity following his bust-up with McMahon and should easily have maintained his position as the best wrestler on the planet. But the Canadian quickly discovered that a combination of bad booking and Hogan's rampant ego would prevent him from scaling the heights he enjoyed in the WWE.
Hart said: "I couldn't have come in with more steam having knocked out McMahon and defeated Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. I was the top guy when I left and I think WCW just proved with myself, and countless other wrestlers, that they didn't have a clue what they were doing. They didn't do anything with me. I think it was a case of somebody who didn't know anything about wrestling was in charge."
"The difference with McMahon is that he knows what he's doing, he knows the business. Like me, he understands wrestling and really gets it. I never sensed that in WCW with Bischoff and a few others who held sway there.
"I think Hogan was the perfect example as all he knew what to do was how to make himself look good. He never thought to help any other wrestler because he wasn't capable of doing it. Hogan gave the thumbs up or down on a whole slew of wrestlers and he didn't use that power very well. He was no genius."
