View Full Version : Be a Noid and pick a jobber

Watching Superstars, I have decided that I am a Primo mark. I love the guy. As a heel, he has everything pretty down pat. He's a great worker, can bump like a motherfucker to make a guy's offense look down-right brutal, and he can actually talk. As a babyface, he was lacking a little oomph, and came off boring, but as a heel his little facial expressions make things for me. On NXT, I love the way he looks mildly frustrated every time Vickie gets a mic, too.
Basically, pick a guy that's not really going anywhere that you wish really was, and tell us why.
Primo and AJ might be doing a Goldust-Aksana thing (the good parts atleast) on Raw.

I'll be interested to see that, simply because Primo is a heel and AJ seems far better suited to being a plucky face. I wonder if that implies a face turn for Primo? I did enjoy Dolph Ziggler and Maria's heel/face relationship on SmackDown! -- as it seemed to imply depth to the Ziggler character. I just hope it means some sort of push for Primo. With the problems going on between Ted DiBiase & Maryse, is it too much to hope that Primo & AJ score an upset victory over them?
Yes, that might well be Teddy's last straw and the end of his relationship with Maryse. That was an epic fail, as was Goldust's push aimed towards his book sales.

I think they'll keep the relationship going, but just have them quarrel more because of it. Mainly because both are attached as Pros to Brodus Clay in NXT. Perhaps they will do a "Pros that hate each other" thing, but I see their characters still being glued together to some degree.
RAW still has the problem of pushes going nowhere. SmackDown!, too, I'm noticing. It seems that Alberto Del Rio has stolen the heel pushes of Jack Swagger and Drew McIntyre. Then you have Swagger lasting in the Battle Royal and McIntyre being the last guy on Team Del Rio; but neither going anywhere. You've brought up Goldust's push on RAW, but you also have Yoshi Tatsu's on-again, off-again appearances. I wonder if his non-title victory with Mark Henry over Nexus will go anywhere? His WrestleMania Battle Royal didn't.
To be fair, that Battle Royal was a dark match.

Still, at WrestleMania it's a pretty big deal, and they treated it as kayfabe stuff. They brought it up, and how Tatsu was surely a rising star. The WWE seem to have "Three Stooges" syndrome, similar to TNA. Often there are too many guys getting pushes. There's an upside to it, but sometimes guys get lost.
That's why I'm appreciating the feud between Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta. It's keeping both guys busy. They are another two guys locked down on Superstars that I want to see go places.

I'm a Zach Ryder fan.
Honestly, I feel Superstars is more of a "Let's try out random stuff with these guys and if it works, let's give the angle to more recognized people" now. The attrition rate on the people wrestling on WWE Superstars is horrendous right now.

No better option than Zak Ryder. He can work. Has an appealing gimmick. He can talk. He just needs a push and maybe a slight character change. Imagine a Swagger/Ryder pairing!?

I wish his pairing with Edge again went somewhere. I wouldn't mind Ryder showing up on SmackDown!, and a new sort of "La Familia" stable starting up. Vickie Guerrero can manage Dolph Ziggler, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder.

"La Familia" with Ziggler, Hawkins and Ryder? So, where is the "latin theme"?
Last year I'd have said Madison Rayne but something actually went right there
He's not so much a jobber but he won't go anywhere in WWE 'cause of his size, but I'd love to see Justin Gabriel do well, in ring he's great and his finisher is credibly awesome

My pick would have been Vance Archer... but I'm gonna go with Curt Hawkins. He's decient in both mike and in ring work.
