How do you guys take that? Are you guilty as well?

My favourite hockey player is Ryan Getzlaf, who plays for Anaheim while my team is the Montreal Canadiens.

Is this heresy?

Not at all, really

It is heresy to be a Canadiens fan and like any other team and or player on another team. It's the motherfucing Montreal Canadiens, 24 cups, only the Yankees have more championships in any sport.

Well I'm a Red Sox fan, and hate the Yankees, but I will make no bones about the fact that I think Derek Jeter is great. You could say he's one of my favorites. I certainly like him more than Jonathan Papelbon.

Yankees I have liked in my life
-Derek Jeter
-Don Mattingly
-Mike Mussina
-Joe Torre

Ken Griffey Jr. is possibly my favorite player all-time. Never played for Boston.

My favorite football player ever is Tom Brady, so no question there.

Don't really have a lot of non-Celtic or non-Bruin favorites in Basketball or Hockey.
Bobby Orr is my favorite hockey player ever.

I guess I'm a little different with baseball, because I love the whole sport so much. I follow/love the whole league and will travel to see games, players, fields that have nothing to do with Boston.

A fave player is always a fave player, but if Doug Glanville was on the Sox in 2005... I would have rooted against him
