A week before his book goes on sale, Goldust is down with a shoulder injury. MRI wasn't good, and he'll be in need of surgery. He hasn't said exactly what the extent is yet, but surgery says, to me, a few months at least.

I'm guessing around 2 months for the shoulder

Damn. My SvR11 roster is getting smaller by the day.

Yeah, I'd expect 2 months, give or take. Just a bummer in general, tho.

Gives him more time for a book tour.

Use him for marketing, plug the book and WWE events.

I'm going to actually pay for his book.
I thought this thread was about Goldust getting fired right before his book is scheduled for release. It's WWE after all.

I thought the character came out of the closet, which was odd considering it was pretty god damn obvious.

Gay enought like... you wanna finish your thought there buddy? Any ways Goldust is a great performer and if im not mistaken... and please correct me if I am... this is his first major injury. Not bad for someone who has been wrestling since 1991.

semi-related note, i really miss the old marlena-era goldust. the gold rain, feather robe, feel-himself-up guy who used shattered dreams kick and won sometimes. that was glorious mind-effing.
i really soured on him when they did the whole electroshock/twitchy thing. that killed the genius. now he just looks like a sad guy in face paint. i would buy into it again if he and the wwe sold it like they used to.

This sucks because I thought he's been doing some of the best work of his career. Plus, I love his theme. One of the few things that still reminds me of the Attitude Era

I dont think he's doing the twitching thing anymore, I watches some of him from NXT 3 and he "sounds" more like old Goldust. I dont think he's really fat per say, comparing him now to the "Black Reign" TNA run and it's a complete diffrence. Like ooTin said he's been wrestling for almost 20 years and considering he's in his 40s he puts on good matches

He'll be out 5 or 6 months, by the look of things.

The big question- is this it for Goldust?
Can/Should?Will WWE use him if/when he comes back?

Future endeavoured as his book comes out.

I'm sure he would be considered as a road agent, if his in-ring career was done. That said, given how great he's looked lately, I don't think he's done yet.

do u miss it or did u read up about him and get it fucked up?! goldust used the curtain call in the marlena era and he won plenty (he had a casket match with taker on ppv and was ic champ for a long time), he used shattered dreams kick in the bollocks years after he was relevant

yeah cos nobody over 39 can wrestle, spa
