View Full Version : Worst Finisher

I would say Chris Jericho's Lionsault would be up there (when regarding high level wrestlers)...however, I'm not sure if its really considered a finisher.
Lex Luger's running elbow was lame
Hogan's legdrop from hell or wotever its called is dull
Booker T's bookend is pretty average (altho the spinaroonie is cool)

KillerWolf

^ um, actually, the spinaroonie is f-ucking retarded.

People's elbow,
The Worm,
British Bulldog's running powerslam
Edge's spear
Clothesline from hell.
Kane's Chokeslam
Mr. Socko
Leg Drop

THere's more but I can't think of them right now.

KillerWolf
04-24-2004, 12:03 PM
^undertaker's chokeslam even more ass than kane's.

Oh yeah, and Beniot's diving head butt.....well actually any diving head butt, Bam Bam Bigelow uses it. Wouldn't that completely crush your own skull and neck?

I always thought The Rock Bottom and The Book End were pointless and powerless. The scoop up slam has more power than both of those.

The Worm is probably another pointless one.

The Stink Face too. That's more degrading and embarassing than anything I know. Not to mention disgusting.

The F-U. It's a soft-looking body slam.

this has to be said any finisher that involves a fireman carry (Torture Rack excluded) Think FU, then think F 5, Then give up because it aint worth thinking about.

Seems all in order to me Basically worst finishers are ones that involve a fireman carry excluding the Torture Rack. :$

Not a big fan at all. Besides Mero's girl got a bigger push than he did <WEG>

The Worm is just horrible. It's not half as entertaining as the People's Elbow, which is why I'll exclude the People's Elbow from my list.

If you wanna go into the Past, Ronnie Garvin's Garvin Stomp was ridiculous.

If you wanna get infamous, I'd go with Phantasio's Magic Wedgie.

The Earthquake Was pretty awful aswell

Vastardikai
04-24-2004, 02:50 PM
Yes, the Garvin stomp was hideous.

Speaking of Marc Mero, his old-time Top Rope Sunset Flip was pathetic...

Honestly, I wasn't a big fan, either, but that is a cool variation of the Diamond Cutter.

1) The Torture Rack does not start in a Fireman's carry. It's a modified Argentine Backbreaker.
2) You seem to like the Death Valley Driver.
3) The F-5 was pretty good, especially for a big guy.
4) Whiplash/Amityville Horror (Fireman's Carry to Michinoku Driver II) rules.
5) So does the Unholy Driver (Fireman's Carry into a reverse powerbomb)

I think the F-U is the absolute worst.

Not sure if it's going to be his finisher or not, but the top rope clothesline Shelton Benjamin beat Ric Flair with at Backlash is pretty weak.

Spike Dudley's Acid Drop is lame as **** too.

04-24-2004, 05:58 PM
This may not go over well, but I think Red's red star press ( The standing shooting star press) is a crappy finisher. Don't get me wrong, it is impressive, but I see no difference in the impact between that, and a regular standing splash. I'm sorry, but a man who weights less than two hundred pounds splashing doesn't seem legit.

I think the unprettier looks like shit. What are you talking about. Picture having your arms hooked above you and you're 6 feet above the ground, facing down. You start to fall, and you try to break the fall, but you can't, because your arms are being held up. Then you get slammed to the ground face first with a man on top of you.

Yeah, it must suck to sell that.

I miss like 2/3 of the moves I used to see in WCW. Damnit, I haven't seen an orange crush bomb in like 3 years.

The worst finisher EVER was The phucking Goon. He'd body check somebody outside of the ring into the apron, only to roll in and win via countout. WHO ASPIRES TO WIN VIA COUNTOUT? My lord...

Wasn't the Buff Blockbuster a flip over neckbreaker from the second rope? Sort've like an inverted diamond dust? If so, that was pretty cool.

Funky Fly

The Hurricane uses the Buff Blockbuster now. It's a flipover neckbreaker off the second rope.

Also both versions of the curtain call are pretty weak.

It'd definately be painful, I just think the way Christian does it looks kind of sloppy and easy to get out of.

How about the Magic Wedgie?

Batsu

People are actually calling the Overdrive, Rock Bottom, Book End, TKO, and F5 the worst finishers?

Wow...

..the Overdrive/O-Zone was actually creative. The RKO, while derivative is a little more effective though. the Overdrive seems like you have to put a lot of work into it. I always called it the "Spiraling Fameasser" even though the moves don't even seem like they're related.

but the worst finishers...

for the same reasons that HHHsucks929 mentioned for the People's Elbow, I'll exclude Hogan's Leg Drop. From a Rikishi, Mark Henry or Big Show sized person that finisher would be more credible, but excessively lame.

The Garvin Stomp is pretty bad, as was the Earthquake (but being squashed by a guy that size can't be pleasant)....the Magic Wedgie is absolutely horrendous.

The Heart Punch was quite lame...and while I can't recall who used this finisher (I'm thinking Dusty Rhodes), the Big Elbow Drop Pin, as it is called in the SmackDown video games is very, very lame. It just seems kind of lazy...to the point it makes Warrior's Gorilla Press/Big Splash combo look like a sitout Pedigree.

add another vote for that Magic Wedgie from me. I mean, that's just something you do to distract the opponent, not finish him.

John Cena's F-U... in its current state is very lame. From what I remember, it began life as a DVD. If only WWE allowed such moves to be used. In any case, John Cena should inherit Marc Mero's old TKO and call it the F-U 2 or the M-F-U (Mega F-U), or something....with its Stunner finish, and spin-around fireman's carry, it really does resemble an F-5.

Hey hey hey, no more personal attacks.

Anyway, i am quite convinced that Mark Henry's world strongest slam looks like crap, and it shouldnt even be a finisher.

Why do i say so? Firstly, although Mark Henry has the mass and impact to really hurt his opponent, he doesnt do so. The air he has between himself and his opponent is very very big. :wtf:

Guess that everything about Mark Henry sucks.

I hear a lot of "The FU sucks"

It would be better he he fell down with his opponent and also have the opponents head/neck hit the mat first so it' looks like it'll stun someone for 3 seconds :D

The O-Zone looked somewhat like a neckbreaker done "Fameasser" style, that's where I'd get the "pain" factor.

I think if Kanyon did the same move people would hail it as genius.

...but the F-U...has potential but it got WWE brand watered down. He needs an "F-U 2" or something, as I've mentioned before. Steal the TKO (I wish that Yuke's would bring that move back as a finisher.)

Currently, the RKO. Not very creative, and it doesn't look like it could hurt---which pretty much describes the FU as well.
