As a lot of u prollly know Mark Henry was signed by the WWE in like 1995 and was given a 10 years long contract that WWE couldnt get out of. That wasnt so bad but the fact was that the WWE had to pay Mark Henry a lot of cash every year but most of u know this already.
So what did wwe do when Henrys contrac ended? instead of throwing a party at titan headquarterers, WWE gave Mark Henry another contract, keep in mind Mark Henry spent most of his last contract ja**ing off in OVW!
Now how Henry is still in wwe while guys like Mr. Kennedy was released I dont know. So many good guys was released while Henry kept his job, it just boggles the mind. Lets keep in mind that Mark Henry is terrible and no one EVER bought a ticket to see Mark Henry wrestle cause watching Henry wrestle is like watching turds in the toilet bowl.
Imagine for a second how much money wwe has spend on Mark Henry so far. Probably millions and millions of dollars and how much did they make from mark henry?
$0.
I think Mark Henry is WWEs worst investment. I cant believe that Mark Henry is still in the WWE while guys like MVP have been fired, I mean we all know Vinnie Mac has a big men fetish but this guy is like throwin money away.
Youre thoughts on this?

MVP asked for his release.
But I agree, Mark Henry sucks.

He must be valuable in the locker room or something because they sure haven't made any merch sales from the guy either... Must be a badass worker thing...

I demand that you change your font and color.
I agree though. Mark Henry has never really been a reason for me to watch at all. I have never been entertained by him and doubt I ever will be.

Don't lie. You loved him when he was Sexual Chocolate.

I'd take Mark Henry over Mr. Kennedy anyday.
But I admit i'm in the minority here. Mark Henry must just be seen as a company man.
and MVP quit didn't he? rather than get fired?

Change your font color, please.
Mark is a locker room leader and a vet. He was in OVW mentoring young guys. He's not at all WWE's biggest mistake just because you don't like him. He's a big man thats athletic and has stayed in shape for what he was brought to do. He doesn't sell Cena merchandise, but when theres a "surprise" opponent for a heel/jobber, the crowd pops when his music comes on. He doesn't at all mind jobbing to guys either, and aside from Trips, Taker, Edge and Christian, he's one of the only guys still around from the Attitude Era. This thread is not dashing.

Sexual Chocolate was awesome. Henry's not bad. I kinda enjoyed his ECW title run.

Mark Henry still has a job because he didn't hurt Randy Orton like Kennedy did :shifty:
He's by no stretch the WWE's biggest mistake; without even having to think hard about it there are so many other viable alternatives. The handling of the Invasion angle, Muhammad Hassan, the Raw after Chris Benoit's death, Owen Hart's death, the treatment of Bret Hart, the Katie Vick angle, the list goes on.

For his size alone he's believable, especially against a smaller guy. He's not great but he's ideal for the suprise opponent/tag partner role, and like Shadrick said hes not opposed to jobbing to anyone. Even his promos arent that bad.

Two thumbs down. I was outraged when they paired MVP with him, what a step DOWN.

Mark Henry is great. He plays his role perfectly. He's a big man with a great presence. He is basically a human fucking tank, with a "You gonna get raped" expression etched onto his face.
Only mistake they made, was having him lose that mean streak when he turned face.

When he first came to Raw and turned face by beating Randy Orton, he has the chance to be ridiculously over. When he would do that thing where he would make the crowd go crazy and then dead silent by raising and lowering his arms, he had them in the palm of his hands. As the "good guy bad ass", he could have been HUGE and would have been great with a title run.
But as is the case 99% of the time when people complain about a worker, it's not so much the worker as it is the awful booking. So it never came to fruition and Mark Henry continues to hang around aimlessly because of poor writers.

I actually liked the whole "Silverback" heel push when he first got the theme change and started injuring everyone. I think if it weren't for that damned ECW title "downgrade", he was in line to be world champion at least once.
I agree he seems to be a company man. They rode his ass to lose weight much like they would also do to Big Show, and he did... hell, they even made an angle of it once with him and D'Lo (another talent WWE wasted consistantly). He's a decent big man and a spectacle, so he's obviously worthy of putting on a card.
Sure, he's not an Andre and put asses in seats, but neither does Christian and everyone around here seems keen on hotshotting a belt around him (bring on the hate, I am a Christian fan, and yet I still said it! What of it?)- but he's also not a huge botch machine or promo mangler. Hell, I would venture to say Mark Henry is kind of like a throback talent. If this were the 80's he would be huge. Not Hulkamania huge, but still a well-known name of the time like a Hillbilly Jim or a Big John Studd.

Biggest mistake they made was not making that taunt into a shirt.

You have a very deep-rooted hatred for Mark Henry, just saying.
I like Henry, he can play the big man role when needed, and works to get a smaller guy over.

Without even taking into consideration of how much he has been paid through-out his WWE tenure, he has probably cost the WWE millions of dollars in surgeries on injuring himself and to those he has injured.

They used a crappy release latch on Owen Hart's harness. Clearly that will always be WWE's biggest mistake.

Mark Henry was probably in the back ja**ing off when that happened.

henry has been a staple of WWE since the attitude era.
he is worth keeping around just so when fans who stopped watching years ago turn on RAW they see a familiar face.
also i loved his face turn when he came back to RAW and beat down that fruitcake orton in the gauntlett match.

Mark Henry has been with WWE since 1996, right after competing in the Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Mark Henry is garbage.
Love the Sexual Chocolate theme though.
As far as I know he got a 10 year contract getting paid 1 million a year.
That being said, I don't know if that's a lot comparing to the other guys.
Henry's not bad. I kinda enjoyed his ECW title run.

I loved Sexual Chocolate. His time in the Nation and with D-Lo Brown was decent. He has never really bothered me being around.
WWE's biggest mistake ever? Aside from Owen and Katie Vick? The colors they keep putting Cena in.
