Seems like nowadays, a feud which goes on for 3 months (or 3 PPVs in a row) is considered a long feud

So yeah, what was the longest running feud in regards to consecutive PPVs?

Austin and McMahon didn't wrestle every PPV but that feud had to last for at least a year if not more in some way shape or form.

Hulk Hogan Vs. Andre the Giant lasted from before Wrestlemania 3, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania IV and then finishing up at the first Summerslam.

The feud not only was huge it also was the focal point of establishing the rest of the big three PPVs. The first Survivor Series was the first time they had wrestled since Wrestlemania. The first Royal Rumble had the signing of the contracts that gave Andre the Giant the match that made him the WWF Champion. That match made Wrestlemania IV's tournament necessary. The MegaPowers Vs. the MegaBucks was the focal point of the first ever SummerSlam.

So, it was a pretty long feud and it established all of the "big four PPVs" as we know them today. I'd say it became one of the most important feuds in WWF history.

Heenan/Hogan gives Kane/'Taker a run for its money if only for the fact that pretty much rode the wave of Hulkamania since near the beginning. Hell, it even spanned two wrestling organizations and through that one Bash At The Beach where Heenan was "proven right".

Raven - Dreamer went on a while.

True, wasn't the gimmick that they were childhood rivals? Or something to do with Summer Camp? I think we have our winner.

How long was Triple H VS. Mick Foley?

It was off and on from 1997-2000. I clearly remember the 1997 Summerslam Cage match and Cactus Jack Pinfalls count anywhere at Madison Square Garden. They feuded for the WWE Title at Summerslam 1999 and the Raw after that one. Then of course the Cactus Jack two matches at Royal Rumble and No Way Out to "end" his career. Then the real final match of the feud at Wrestlemania.

You can also say that Foley's feud with Evolution at Wrestlemania 20 was an off-shoot of his feud with Triple H. So, Triple H's hand was in that and Foley's great hardcore rules match with Randy Orton was a great spin-off from that feud.

Not consecutive, but The Rock v Triple H in 2000 was on PPV a lot (Wrestlemania, Backlash, Insurrextion, Judgment Day, KOTR, Summerslam, Armegeddon) and Edge v Cena lasted around 18 months on and off.

Is someone gonna answer the actual question?

I thought I did with my Andre the Giant/Hulk Hogan post. Wrestlemania 3, 1st ever Survivor Series, 1st ever Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania IV and first ever Summerslam. That's five straight events even though Royal Rumble was on USA Networks the first time around.

Austin and McMahon probably. Feuds used to last as long or longer in the old days, but there were also only a handful of PPVs.
Austin vs McMahon was the longest of the modern era, if you count matches in which they were involved as the central conflict.
Austin's matches with wrestlers like Foley, Kane, Undertaker and The Rock obviously weren't directly against Vince, but he was always the one behind it.
And there were also the PPVs where Stone Cold was a special referee in a match against Vince's will, or something.

Over the Edge 98 through Fully Loaded 99, about.

How about Edge and Christian vs. the Hardys? Seems like 2000-01 they were always in matches together either 2 on 2 or mixed in with the Dudleys and other teams.

Hogan vs Sting went on forever. Didn't wrestle on ppv, but the feud was there.

NYR 2006: Edge beats John Cena for the WWE Title via MITB
RR 2006: John Cena beats Edge for the WWE Title
Backlash 2006: John Cena beats Edge and HHH to retain the WWE title
ECW ONS 2006: RVD beats John Cena for the WWE Title thanks to Edge
RAW: Edge beats John Cena and RVD to take the WWE Title
SummerSlam 2006: Edge beats John Cena to retain the WWE Title
Unforgiven 2006: John Cena beats Edge in a TLC match to win the WWE Title

They had a pretty good run. If they had faced each other at WM22 instead of HHH/Cena, it would've easily been the longest.

HHH vs Shawn Michaels

John Cena vs. Randy Orton

both seemed like long feuds. Not gonna look it up though.

He held it like 30 days or so if I remember correctly. He successfully defended the title against Edge at Vengence.
