What? Don't listen to Buzkill, Kalyx. It is tremendous and each season gets better.

just watched an episode in season 2 where someone who had died previously was in the show as if it never happened, no explanation at all
still an amazing show

Yeah that happened because there was a production error. That episode was supposed to air before he died but it didn't and they delayed it. Might be because of the World Series or something. Look it up.

Love the show. The writing and acting are fantastic and it just keeps getting better and better.

Just hope the mythology they are building up doesn't get as convoluted and off-putting as the later series of the X-Files did.

Big bump, but I wanted to know if anyone else still keeps up with the show. My mind has been blown apart by the season finale and I wanted to see what others thought about the whole thing. A discussion, if you will..

Yeah I am very confused by the ending now. Would type more about what I think but don't want to spoil it for anyone right now.

But Peter doesn't exist, remember? :shifty:

My theory is that season 4 is split between the future, where there is a Peter and only 1 world, and the present where there is no Peter and 2 worlds. As to what happened, I would love to hear what others though.

P.S Today is the last day I use spoiler tags, any idiot wandering into this thread without having seen that superb finale needs to get the spoilers.

How is everyone going to know WHY they started fighting in the first place?

I don't get it. With Peter 'gone', how did anything happen in the first place if nobody remembers him.

Don't know if I necessarily like Peter not existing :( Kinda takes a lot of steam out of his and Olivia's romance.

Screw the spoiler tags. I read somewhere that Walter and William Bell always had intentions to experiments with cross-over, which is true given that they experimented with kids even before Peter of this world died and Walter crossed over to grab the other Peter. So even if Peter never existed, these two found a way to cross over and caused the first wormhole on their side and one thing led to another causing the fighting.

Also remember that scene in the future between Peter and Walter discussing about the consequences of cheating time? I think Peter went back in time to 2 worlds that never had Peter.

Oh by the way, the question "Where is Peter?" is supposedly the topic of next season's opener so I wouldn't say Peter is gone from Fringe for good.

Hey everyone, Fringe is over now and I absolutely loved the final season/finale. Who else watched it?

Me, I had my problems with the fifth season but I'm sure I'll like it more when I get it on blu ray later in the year.

Seasons 2-3 were magnificent.

RE: the final episode
It was alright, the past fringe incidents being brought back as weapons against the observers was nice, but it was all a bit lacklustre really. The whole of season 5 could've probably just been condensed into a movie.

I think the show went downhill the moment everyone forgot who Peter was and yet there was hardly any tension and within like 3 episodes they were practically treating him like normal. Add in that Olivia remembered him because of love plot and I think it just got a bit needlessly convoluted. It still had its moments after that, but it just never felt the same.

Pretty much done downloading the final season.
