If Las Vegas gives a guy a six month medical suspension, do the commissions in other states have to or usually follow it as well. Do these suspensions also keep a guy from training? I'd assume because the fighters are licensed, if they were caught training while under medical suspension they could be punished. Chael said on MMA Live that his suspension meant he couldn't train but I don't believe a damn thing that guy says.

This is in relation to the Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament. Hypothetically, if one of these fights on the February card go the distance and the New Jersey commission suspends the winner for that long afterwards, it would fuck up the flow of the tournament, but if Strikeforce is doing the next round in another state would it matter?

Most states follow NSAC's lead. If one state suspends you then it will be tough to get a license any where else. Most of the suspensions say that you are suspended for 30,60, 90, etc days...unless you can get cleared by an approved physician. Of any of these guys get in to an all out war in Mar/April....the next fight wouldn't be until August with a final in December. So even 90 day bans would be laughable. I could be wrong, but I'm usually right!
