are a band that makes rock operas based on megaman.

Yes, my friends. Yes.

If you are a fan of the megaman series(lookin at you Khuntry), you are doing yourself a disservice by not checking this album out. I actually gave them a listen a while back but quickly dismissed them because they didn't use any of the music from the games. It's all original. At the time, I thought they were just a normal rock band, and was unaware that it was meant to be listened to from start to finish.

At the beheast of a couple friends, I gave it another chance, and this time I "got it" and it really impressed me. The music it's really good, and the production values are pretty awesome for an amateur setup, without a label backing them.

And the lyrics aren't cheesy like The Megas. They are in some parts, but for the most part, they are actually quite elegant, and well thought out.

They already have the second act up, but you have to buy that one.

Give it a listen, but if it doesn't click right away, give it a chance. Apparantly I'm not the only one who's made the mistake of writing it off too quick. It's just one of those albums that you need to give a couple spins to truly appreciate it.

Yeah I've heard them. I'm only really into people just doing straight covers/remixes of video game music though.

Dunno kind of think that the whole "ode to video game music" schtick is pretty worn out by this point.

I agree, and that's why this is so fresh. All the "ode to videogame" stuff for the last decade, have just been remixes.

This is something completely different.

Just got the second album and it is even better. Just ridiculously creative. You don't have to even like megaman or videogames to appreciate it. Although if you hate progressive rock, than it is probably not for you.
