View Full Version : What do you want to see in 2011?

Pretty simple question. What do you want to see in 2011? Also, if you'd like, throw in what you see happening.

I'm hoping Morrison gets a refresh. His gimmick is so stale now. What IS his gimmick, even? 70s stoner? I don't mind the fuzzy coats and whatnot, but he needs a drastic makeover before I can buy him in the main event. A heel turn needs to happen.

I really hope that Ziggler makes it to the top by the end of the year. I wasn't that high on him, partially because I never really watched SmackDown! over the past few years. But his series with Danielson impressed me, and I've become a fan. One of my top 5 favorites for sure at the moment. He won't win at the Rumble, but it'll be a testament to see if he can hang in the main event.

As for Danielson, he needs a serious change. He's one of my favorites, but his gimmick is killing him. I'm just hoping they give him an all business type of gimmick and let him rip up the midcard for a bit. Way too early for him in the upper card, though. I want his build to be slow and steady. Also, I wouldn't mind a 20 minute match between Danielson and Regal, even on Superstars.

I'm hoping Punk goes onto build up Nexus and eventually get to the point where they can throw him out with everyone looking good at the end. WWE killed off all interest in Nexus for me once they got to the later Cena feud, but so far the new Nexus has amazed me. Then again, I love everything Punk does, and I've always been a sucker for the insane cult leader.

I think Taker's days of even a few PPVs here and there are done. I see him going into Mania with an easy feud, going away for a bit, coming back at SummerSlam, and hopefully have his last match at Mania 28 with Cena (the only Mania-worthy opponent for Taker left). If the rumors hold any water, I wouldn't mind a Sting/Taker feud going into SummerSlam.

As for Cena, whatever. He's probably walking out of Mania with the title. Which is a shame, but got to send the fans home happy I suppose. He needs to drop the Superman bullshit and drop the silly shit when he needs to be serious.

Miz will be a star this year. He may not hold the title for the majority of the year, but I hope he's in high-profile feuds. He's a made man, and I love how far he's come.

An end to gimmick PPV's.

Edge to have a bit of, well edge, to his character. So boring and corny right now. Ditto Orton tbh.

Christian to be in a high profile feud :'(

I would like The Miz to have a lengthy run. Not just because I'm a mark for him, but because he's the type of champion that seems that he could lose to ANYBODY. He had me believing that Jerry fucking Lawler was about to become the champion. I never would have thought that had he been facing Cena, Orton, or even Sheamus. I want The Miz to hold the title for a looooooong time, and I want every match to seem like he's going to lose...but he somehow pulls it out. That reign would be way more exciting than a Superman reign.

I also want to see Skip Sheffield back in some capacity. Maybe an Alberto Del Rio title win by Summerslam at the latest.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Sheffield get a chance to do something, he probably couldn't have gotten injured at a more unlucky time. He looks like a by the numbers big guy in terms of ability but he has some character to him, he's comfortable with a mic and looks like a million dollars.

Alex Riley's progression, he's going to be a star.

Looking forward to seeing how serious WWE are about Danielson.

See if TNA can get even a bit of consistency.

I want to see WWE get some sort of tag team division, i miss the old days of the godwins, headbangers etc

Also be great to see Macho Man return in some capacity, even greater to see Sting make his transition to WWE but i think it is better for his career to remain the biggest name to never wrestler for the WWE.

Taker would be a good time to run 1 last fued and hang up his boots, he cant go much longer with his body and schedule and nobody wants to see him as a shell of his old self, of course id miss seeing him but times drawing in i think

P.s Ziggler for champion

Continue the youth push.

Bigger roles for Morrison, Kofi, Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett.

Keep the Miz champion through Wrestlemania at least, and put him in a match with someone not normally considered a "main eventer" (aka, not Cena or Orton).

Keep the Punk vs Cena fued going for a while.

Give Michael Cole a direction. If he is a heal, he should always act as such. If not, stop being annoying.

Macho Man come back!!!

Batista returns in a "bigger-than-wrestling" gimmick and decides that he wants to use the WWE to launch his stand-up comedy career. Chris Jericho convinces him that he has better connections in the entertainment industry, so Batista becomes Jericho's bodyguard.

I'd rather see this as a feud. Every RAW for a month, both Batista and Jericho get time to do a stand-up routine and it gets voted on by the WWE Universe. The winner at the end of the angle (as a result of fan voting) gets a shot at the WWE Championship.

TNA:
Finally realizes they need long term booking and better storylines since it would help more than just quick fixes of hiring a new person for the intial buzz and then does nothing long term.

WWE:
1) At least another moment similar to the shock debut of Nexus but with better consistency and less "rushing".
2) Miz and Morrison resumes their feud since they actually have a history with each other and the feud deserves to last longer than just a week. Maybe for the title assuming either Miz or Morrison is champion at the time.
3) Del Rio becomes champion and hires his own personal announcing team who happens to be the old Spanish announcing team. Probably have him get upset at the constant need to rebuy tables for them like in the old days. :shifty:
4) WWE continues pushing more types of wrestlers like they did in 2010 instead of going back to "roided" up wrestlers.

I'd like to see TNA get their shit together, and for the independent scene to get some spicing up. Even if it just gets us talking for a bit.

The WWE youth movement should continue. I'm actually excited to see Triple H back, but I want to see him work hard to give these new guys some credibility. I'd actually anticipate another No Holds Barred Match between him and Sheamus at WrestleMania -- followed by a Hell in a Cell at Extreme Rules. Triple H could maybe win the HIAC, but I think Sheamus should get the WrestleMania duke.

The WWE has some potential gold mines in Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston and even Justin Gabriel and Michael McGillcutty. I hope the WWE doesn't fuck that up. That's not even mentioning the guys on Superstars who could contribute more.

I want a feel good moment for Christian. That feel good moment.

I want someone to genuinely change the landscape. Someone to just come in, make us go "Whoa!" and provide entertaining and stimulating television that the writing (wherever they are) can't fuck up.

The expansion of Daniel Bryan's kayfabe personality. As of lately, it feels like he has no identity. It's not like he can't, he cut some nice promos while on NXT.

Del Rio and Justin Gabriel holding some type of title. Wade Barrett, CM punk, and Christian getting world title runs. Chris Jericho turning face and holding a world title.

TNA-An A.J. Styles face turn,Impact out of the Impact zone. Abyss with a title run,Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle vs. A.J. Styles or any combo of the three. Better writing in TNA.A lot less Hulk,a lot more Brooke Hogan. She could be their Stephanie, just sayin.

WWE-Morrison as champ,Del rio as champ. A return to PG-13,at least. Make tag teams matter again. i would love to see the scramble match come back to ppv.

WWE - Jericho returns to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Which Jericho wins.

TNA - AJ Styles to turn on Immortal and become the TNA Heavyweight Champion.

-Would like to see Morrison with new theme music, and please bring back that Breakdance Leg Drop! I think with a cool prelude, that move could get as good a reaction as the "five knuckle shuffle". Plus, after he continues his clean babyface run and wins a shot at either major title, heel it up and team up with Del Rio and Cody Rhodes and have a "Hollywood Badasses" stable or something. They can show up in nice cars, nice clothes, almost like an A-Team deal..maybe add Otunga in there to mix it up if he ever leaves NexSES.

-Would definitely like to see a program with HHH/Sheamus/Orton where HHH and Orton let the past go, since both of them dicked each other at some point. Doesn't mean they have to end up fueding or anything..hell, Orton and HHH could have a title v. career match at WM when HHH wants to hang it up.

-Need to see Miz somehow beat the Big Show, legitimately. I think this would put Miz in that "yea, he's no cakewalk" status. Whether people dig him or not, you still have people in the arean who can't take him as serious as he should be bc he is a FUNNY smart ass.

-Jericho can come back and can spice things up. Definitely wouldn't mind Jericho going against Daniel Bryan..not even for a title, just would like to see that. Like a "you don't take this s h*t serious enough..you walk around, smiling, pointing your finger in the air. You'll never be taken serious"..thus, tweaking Danielson's character a little.

-Would like to see Santino suddenly go on a hiatus, thanks to some big threat taking him out. He comes back, not as much comedy anymore, thoroughly working on his wrestling skills and coming back as sort of a Taz/Kurt Angle wrestling machine that, despite his size, can pin your ass. He can kind of put a little comedy here and there in his programs, but he's "legit" now.

- Do something good/important with Yoshi. He needs to win the Tag Titles with Kofi Kingston or something.

-Kofi will getting more "technically sound" in his matches. His matches are exciting and he has a different style, but i would like to see hurricanranas (sp?), brainbusters, german suplexes, etc. And i would like him to have two titles at once. Don't know which two, but i think he can definitely turn into a jerk with the success getting to him.

-Cena is not going to rap anymore lol so pretty much just make sure that his fueds are at least interesting enough. Love him out of the ring though, great dude.

-Tag teams need to come back

I'd like some pacing in the storylines. Orton won the title too soon for my liking. There was a ground-swell of support that turned him face and I feel he would have benefitted from a longer chase before grabbing the gold. Same goes for the Cena is fired angle. They simply couldn't have him off TV for a month? Seriously?

I'd like to see some kind of dimension added to Daniel Bryan. He's a nerd and the Bellas like him. Why do they like him?

As much as the "Youth Movement" should be encouraged I feel they are missing a trick by not pushing Christian. Sadly, if he returns in time for WM I still don't see him getting that "Return Push" as he'll likely be involved with the MitB (should they have one) and I can 't see him being given the nod ahead of a Ziggler, a Del Rio or even a Rhodes.

Tag Teams would be nice.

As for TNA, I could do without Bischoff, Hogan and especially Flair being on my TV as much as they are. Flair should never be involved with anything that involves him having to speak.

--The return of Chris Jericho.

--CM Punk as the leader of Nexus for the bulk of 2011, if not all. I think the WWE needs a really long lasting stable so when they break up it really means something. Perhaps when Nexus does break up Punk has a big feud with one of the former members that culminates at Wrestlemania XXVIII. I'd like that feud to be with Husky Harris.

--CM Punk actively recruits Daniel Bryan to be in Nexus. Daniel Bryan spurns him leading to a Punk/Bryan feud. It would serve to elevate Bryan and give him an edge.

--Guys that are floundering like Darren Young, David Hart Smith, Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, Michael Tarver, Primo, R-Truth, Ted DiBiase, William Regal, Yoshi Tatsu, Zack Ryder, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters, Curt Hawkins, Joey Mercury, JTG, Trent Barreta, and Tyler Reks put in tag teams to strengthen the tag team division.

--Gail Kim to be the main focus of the Diva's division. I seriously don't get why she isn't. She's beautiful, good on the mic, and is a great wrestler and those are the three most important things WWE looks for in a diva (in that order unfortunatly.)

--Goldust to be in a mentor role with some up and coming talent.

--Husky Harris to be a mid-card or tag team champion.

--The Usos to go back down to Florida for some seasoning.

--John Cena to not win either of the world championships all year but to still be a major focus of the show. Perhaps even do a John Cena losing streak/losing his confidence angle.

--Maryse to once again be a factor in the Diva's division.

The Show Off
01-20-2011, 08:14 PM
--Melina to go back to being a manager/wrestler.

--Michael Cole to go full heel. That means he trashes all the faces (including John Cena) and praises all the heels.

--For the WWE to stay the course with Nattie Neidhart.

--I want to see Randy Orton go back to being the way he was between Royal Rumble 2009 and Wrestlemania 25 only this time don't make him go after just faces have him go after faces and heels.

--Santino Marella to transition into a more serious role.

--For the WWE to stay the course with Sheamus.

--For Skip Sheffield to return and have both Wade Barrett's stable and the New Nexus both recruit him pudding Sheffield over as a big deal.

--The Miz, in an attempt to show how great a champion is, issues and open challenge to anyone in the WWE. Have The Miz successfully defend his championship on Monday Night Raw every week until he runs into his Wrestlemania feud. This way The Miz gains some legitamacy before losing the title at Wrestlemania. Then after Wrestlemania have him constantly cut promos saying he's the best champion in WWE history and that no one wants to give him another title shot.

--Triple H to return and after his feud with Sheamus is over he should turn heel.

--Alberto Del Rio to be in a championship feud but to not win the championship.

Triple H can't turn heel.

The crowd turned him face twice in the past 5 years.

And you must realize that he's been injured for almost half of those years.

It's kind of like with Orton, but Orton can play the Stone Cold Role, DTA Viper Xtreme!

The kings of kings can't really play that role, but he can still be the man with the sledgehammer... I think Triple H's days as a heel are over.

He's near the winding days in his career and he's ready to move to a non wrestling role, probably after he puts over Sheamus completely or turns Cena heel.

Trips going heel is like Undertaker going heel. The fans just won't care anymore as their careers have gone sort of stale, it wouldn't be wise to change their personas this late in the game.
