Percy Watson

Been meaning to post about this for a while, but does anybody get the feeling that Percy Watson is going to be huge in the WWE? He's pretty athletic, his personality is original and he can talk. Not saying I agree with this, although I did like him on NXT, but I'm predicting that he'll be the #2 face in the WWE behind Cena by the end of 2011. He's been wrestling in dark matches on RAW so I guess we'll see soon.

I think he may debut officially during the Rumble, but I doubt it. Can easily see him being a huge star though.

Especially with kids. Plus, The Rock was probably the last big main event face who wasn't white unless you count Booker T. I could see the WWE pushing him hard to win over young African Americans.

I could see that, but they have 2 guys on the roster (Kofi and Truth) who could easily do that now, yet they don't really do much with eiter.

R Truth is over 40 and I kinda think he would have gotten that push by now.
With Kofi, I'm not crazy about his mic skills. Kofi just seems like a guy who will win secondary belts a bunch of times and might get a transitional World Title run but that's it. His promo's just don't do it for me.
When Percy debuted I laughed my ass off and just went "wow, this is different", and could see right away that this guy could get over HUGE with kids.

Never was big on Percy Watson as a singles wrestler. I liked him as The South Beach Boyz with Young, they could add to the pitiful tag team division. We havent had a really good "odd couple" paring in awhile maybe stick him with Eli Cottonwood from NXT. He could try and dress up Eli/ make him more flashy. Eli can lumber around and talk about his mustache. There are a few other guys in FCW that Percy could do that with.


Side note, did anyone else notice that the only person to be released from NXT season 2 so far is the person who won it. Just thought that it sounded kinda odd

I did enjoy Percy Watson...for a while. The guy is still green, but his personality and athleticism is perfect for the tag team division. The WWE needs to put Watson with Darren Young as The South Beach Boys yesterday. Especially given that Zack Ryder & Primo seem to be a sorta-kinda tag team right now, and need some party animals to feud with.
