Let's say Kurt Angle signs with WWE for two final years. For the sake of argument, his contract starts the day after WrestleMania 27 and ends at WrestleMania 29. He will go into the Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 29, and wrestle his last match the next night.

This is a two part question.

1. Who would you like to see him wrestle from the WWE roster?
2. Who do you have him face at WrestleMania 28 and 29?

1. Jack Swagger

2. Probably Daniel Bryan, just because he is the best wrestler in the business right now.

1. Jack Swagger

That should be his first feud once he comes back because not only does it have meaning with them both being former amateur wrestlers but it would help Jack Swagger so much if he beat Kurt once.

And if his last match is at WM29, I can honestly say it'd have to be someone new for him to put over because it seems like Kurt likes putting over new talent.

I would like to see him wrestle as many as he could and put on quality matches. I would like to see him go up against Cena and own him, maybe a Triple Threat Submission match with Bryan and CM Punk, a feud with Del Rio and maybe something with Taker too.

1. Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler
2. Undertaker at WM 28, Tyler Black/Michael McGillicutty at WM 29

I wouldn't have him wrestle too much, maybe have him on PPV and sometimes on TV but keep him off the road so the guy doesnt destroy himself. Use him to get some great PPV matches out of up and coming talent like Swagger, Ziggler, Bryan, Morrison, Kofi and Del Rio.

Jericho or CM Punk at Wrestlemania 28 and somebody who could use the rub to get to the "next level" at 29.

Jericho isn't someone who needs a rub because he is the next level, though I think that a Jericho vs Undertaker match at Wrestlemania could match the greatness of the last two HBK/Taker matches.

I know that, I put him as an opponent for WM28. The guy who gets the rub would be facing him at WM29 in Kurt's last match.

Just guys that he hadnt faced before ie Miz, CM Punk, Swagger, Morrison.

Save the 'elite' guys for Wrestlemania like Jericho, Orton etc.

Side note - id like Swagger to become Angle's apprentice, kind of an Alex Riley type.

I'd be down for that as long as it was written well

a feud with Jack Swagger first, then transition into facing Undertaker at a Wrestlemania.....

I'd like to see Kurt Angle wrestle everyone in WWE, whether it be for the first time or again.
Only for a short time though. Like you proposed, a year or two.

He can have great matches with CM Punk, Danielson, Del Rio, Ziggler, Miz, Barrett, Sheamus, Morrison and all of the other new stars.
And I'd also like to see him wrestle Jericho, Cena, HHH, Edge and Christian again. It's not like any of that is stale or overdone at this juncture.

For the most part I have little interest in seeing older stars back now. I was happy to see Booker and Diesel return in the Royal Rumble setting but I honestly don't think the WWE needs old names anymore.
But Angle is different. He has worth on the fulltime show still.

It would just be nice to see him back in WWE for a while longer and get a proper send off before he "retires", regardless of how that sticks.

It's too hard for me to narrow it down. I pretty much want to see Angle wrestle everyone from Jack Swagger to John Morrison to Zack Ryder. The biggest feuds I see for Angle are:

vs. CM Punk
Just from a storyline perspective, although I wouldn't want this at WrestleMania. Punk could really lay into Angle about how he is only held together by pain-killers, and is a shadow of the Olympian that he once was. That this would lead to Angle working with Michael McGillicutty, and getting the best possible work out of David Otunga and Mason Ryan, as well, are bonuses.

vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler's amateur background and strategy of working over the neck could make a pretty dramatic feud with Angle. I imagine something where Ziggler actually wins a match against Angle via forfeit, due to the referee stopping the match. Could be huge heat for Ziggler, and lead to a big comeback win for Angle.

vs. Alberto Del Rio
This is one that I would like to see at WrestleMania. Angle, represeting the United States, against the closest thing he has to a Mexican counterpart in the WWE. I imagine their styles would mesh quite well, and the mic work would be pretty entertaining, too.

vs. Daniel Bryan
This would be my final Kurt Angle match. The American Hero vs. The American Dragon...enough said.

I'd want Angle to get involved in a three way feud with Morrison and (Heel) Bryan on the grounds that all three think they are the greatest in ring performers.

I'd have that end at Summerlsam in a time limited submission match where Morrison wins by debuting a new submission move to add to his moveset (He needs this if he's going to continue with his current push IMO). I'd have Miz then say that if Morrison can beat Angle then he will destroy him and have him feud with Miz until putting him over at Mania 28.

Going forward I would have Angle form an unlikely stable with Jack Swagger and Del Rio. All three would enter a 'power trip' angle for three months until the mega powers of Orton and Cena join forces to break it all up. I'd have Angle be hinting at a face turn throughout. Survivor series would involve an Angle Team vs a Cena Team. Angle is about to be pinned by Cena/Orton when Del Rio pulls them off and destroys Angle himself. This would turn Angle face and get huge heel heat for Del Rio.

The two would feud over the holiday period Angle wins the rumble Del Rio wins the chamber and the two go at it for Angles last match at Mania 29 with Del Rio going over.

how does Jericho need a rub? He's a multi-time world champion... and has the respect of his peers

I like the idea of having Angle have Swagger as an apprentice. It could start of with Swagger applying the ankle-lock to - let's just say - Tyson Kidd. Kurt is at ring-side for... eeh X-reason!

When he sees Swagger apply the hold, he jumps into the ring and slightly yells at Swagger, he then pushes Swagger away and demonstrates how the move is done properly - Kidd wins by DQ at this point btw.

You have the two alternately putting Kidd in the lock for a few minutes before they shake hands and leave. Next time you see them, they're a team of master and apprentice :)

This also means that Angle actually doesn't have to work as many matches (although people clearly want to see that), making his schedule a bit easier on his ... perfectly functioning body. . .

Of course roses don't stay red forever, and Angle will at times have to don his delectable gear and destroy someone. This could even lead to a feud against Miz and Riley at some point (unless Riley has betrayed Miz by that point).

First WM match would then be against the Miz in a one on one - Master Vs. Master match. After Angle destroys the Miz, Riley can then turn on him - leaving the Miz a broken shell ready for a new development.

Swagger and Angle stay a team for a little while longer, but eventually Swagger graduates by winning a belt - possibly the WWE belt, which Angle then challenges him for.

After Angle wins the belt - following a series of matches - he becomes a wanted man. We now bring in Orton and/or (a somehow Heel) Bryan to challenge for the belt. A series of matches in which Kurt manages to defend his title, ending with him losing it at the Rumble to let's say Orton.

At this point Del Rio enters the scene, saying he would like nothing more than to finish the job that Orton started, and to destroy this so called American hero - who cannot compare to the nobility and class of Del Rio. This can build up to a WM match where Del Rio is put over.

Benefits to this would be a slightly light schedule for Kurt -at least until he gets his hands on the WWE title, yet still be visible and also of course at times wrestling and also showing moves to Swagger in the same style as against Kidd.

Downside is less awesome Kurt matches (I'm sure we can fit a CM Punk match in somewhere btw)!
