..I saw myself and my girlfriend at the show. Now you're probably thinking "good for you, you went to Smackdown." But I didn't..
The footage they showed was from the April 30th, 2010 Smackdown in Hershey, PA. My girlfriend was wearing a green and white t-shirt, I was wearing a black polo shirt. It was while Jack Swagger was the champion, he came out to cut a promo. She was yelling "you suck" I stood there with my hands in the thumbs down position. The footage of us aired on Smackdown, you can probably find that show on Hulu.
Now tonight we were watching the Smackdown from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Wade Barrett had just cut a promo on the Elimination Chamber and Rey Mysterio. The camera then cut to a close-up of her and I from the April 30th, 2010 in Herhsey, PA. The same footage that was shown of us 10 months previous. Her in the green and white shirt, myself in the black polo for several seconds. Barrett's music continues to play in the background, as if her and I, Pennsylvania residents who didnt attend, where at the show. If you happened to DVR Smackdown tonight check it out.
Now I know this is probably a pointless post and I don't mean to waste anyone's time. I just thought this was such an odd thing to have happened. It raised several questions between her and I.
Why would they use 10 month old footage for just 3 seconds like that after a Wade Barrett promo?
Why us? Why that show? Was there really no one booing Barrett they could of shown?
Did someone in the editing department say; "Hey, remember those two from Smackdown on April 30th in Hershey? Lets throw them into this show for a few seconds!"
Hopefully some of you found the humor we found in this tonight. We are still very confused. I wonder how often this happens. Now I will be skeptical everytime they show a close-up of fans at SmackDown shows wondering "are they really there?"
By the way, I would never boo Wade Barrett.

They probably have tons of clips and stock of crowd reactions.
Why you? Random chance. Probably they decided what they were getting from the fans there wasn't animated enough. So they went, pulled probably the first "appropriate" fan response they had, and dropped it in the timeline.

Pretty cool though. Odd feeling when you're watching TV and suddenly you're on TV when you shouldn't be, haha.

Back in 2003 or whenever when I use to watch Smackdown during the afternoon, they always censored weapon shots by showing the crowd, and it was always the same red-headed girl for about a year.
I wonder if she got royalties.

This. But I'm a Kofi mark, as everyone knows.
Is your girl hot? Post pics please. We need to get to the bottom of this right away.

They did that with TNA on bravo too, except when they showed the replay/roundup they showed the weapon shots/blood etc. anyway.

Why were you booing Jack Swagger the All American American American American American?!
http://www.hulu.com/watch/146009/friday-night-smackdown-fri-apr-30-2010 heres the episode you actually went to anyways.
Not only did they use you in the clip twice, they super imposed you sitting next to a guy with an epic beard. You're at 1:26:32 of the hulu episode.
Of course all that is dependent on that fact that you're that guy.

I'd say this is exactly the case. Although, I suppose few of us were aware of it, and as has already been said, it must be strange to see yourself on TV at an event you didn't attend. :)

Is it possible to watch this on Hulu without watching the entire episode? I tried to "fast forward" but it won't let me.

Haha, hilarious. Yes, that is us! It lead to an interesting phone call from my Uncle today.
"You were in Wisconsin Tuesday?"
"No, I wasn't there. That footage from April."

Hover your mouse around the bottom of the video to show the timelime and click on where you want. They are in the final segment with Jack Swagger's acceptance speech.

Lol, that must've been so weird. I find it abit stupid of WWE to do something like this, funny though.

We need to shine as bright a light as possible on these crowd manipulations.

That is some weird shit indeed, but one thing is for sure. I'd be on the phone to Stamford asking for a fucking Slammy award.

you know what you should do..
claim that you got fired or something for being seen on TV at a wrestling show that was taped when you were supposed to be at work or something and then sue the WWE for using your image improperly and causing you to be fired. Im sure the ticket says that they can use your likeness but I dont think that should give them the right to randomly insert people into other shows that happen months after the fact and are supposed to be "live". they aren't treating the clip as something that happened last year, they're treating it as being live.
