What movies are a waste of time to watch on t.v. due to censoring?
These also have to be movies that have actually been shown on network television.
Here are a couple suggestions:

1.) Step Brothers
2.) Superbad

Can anyone else come up with any to add to the list?

I agree with Juan, I seldom watch any movie on cable or network channels. The commercial breaks alone just ruin it for me, not to mention the censoring.

Another thing not movies but I hate watching is Stand up comedy specials. Especially when long amount of it bleeped or cut out. Just ruins lots of the jokes

Be glad you haven't seen Polish stand-up. It's simply horrible.

Friday, especially with the dubbing of new words over the profanity which makes it look more like an old Japanese samurai flick while sounding very little like the actor playing the role..

Any 80's movie with cursing. The dubbing is terrible.

Well when they edit out every other word cause its fuck or shit & delete the violence it just wrecks it.

I love the movie itself.

I just watched the entire Sleepaway Camp Triology unedited (well, 1/2 were full, 3 was toned down R) on MGM HD for like the millionth time and Id have to say that they would be worthless edited for regular cable, but especially the first one for the ending which would be totally lost in cable editing for obvious reasons.. And to be honest the ending is really the only thing the first movie has going for it...

Due to commercial breaks, the correct answer would be all of them.

But if that isn't a concern, I would just say anything rated R, as a general rule. Even some hard PG-13s might even get chopped to hell, depending on the channel showing it.

I pretty much just don't watch movies on television other than premium cable or on demand.
Not just because of censorship, but long commercial breaks and inability to control the viewing.

I've always been a sucker for enjoy things that are being broadcast to others though. I don't know why.
Something about music, and television and movies, is sometimes enjoyable to experience knowing it's in synch with others out there.
So for that reason, sometimes I'll make an exception if it's a movie I really love.

Once in a blue moon, I'll watch one of the Star Wars movies on Spike TV or something. Or a Christmas movie during primetime.

I never watch movies on TV if they're on a channel that has ad breaks. Even if I really want to watch the movie.

I hate breaks when I'm watching movies.

Wow, they censor movies over there? How fucking lame. Don't mind ad breaks much as i'm used to them. Don't watch many movies but the occasional one on tv can be good, most are shit though as Juan said.

Hallmark Channel censored the word hell on an episode of Cheers. Never watched Hallmark Channel again.
