<font color=goldenrod>Comes out March 8th.

I figured I would skip it this year since MLB 10 was extremely similar to MLB 09. But then I read about the improvements to Road to the Show, so I might have to grab it. They finally have gotten rid of the retarded advancement goals and they've developed a system that can rank each at-bat based on what transpired (ie a 9-pitch AB resulting in an out can still net you points, etc.) You can also develop your player the way you want to. You don't HAVE to make your guy a fireballer who gets loads of K's. Performance of players at levels above you also determines whether or not you can get a call-up.

They've also tweaked franchise and contract/trade logic. Thank God. Hated seeing so many guys get moved that never would get moved. You could easily pick up Lincecum, McCutchen, Heyward, and any other young stud as the CPU wouldn't offer them arbitration or shit like that.

Those are the features that excite me most, but there's other cool new stuff they've added - including more presentation stuff as per usual.

I skipped last year without much of a wink. I doubt I will buy this game until the price comes down or Amazon gets some good credit on it.

As I just got my PS3 I am incredibly excited to play The Show and tell 2K11 to fuck itself in its ear.

<font color=goldenrod>What a fucking nice looking game. One of the few series' where the trailers show the actual gameplay models, which have been overhauled and look incredible.

Pre-ordered it. Only cost me $27.95 after using leftover Best Buy Christmas gift cards. Cannot wait.</font>

Um, some sporting good's website is giving 40% off every online order, and games are included. Just got the game for 38.51. Stole this off of CAG, btw.

I'm just waiting on my free copy through work. Hopefully it comes sooner than later so I can cum sooner than later.

<font color=goldenrod>The new RTTS is fun although sometimes I can only play like 3 games before I get pissed off and shut the game off. God help me if I ever go into a prolonged slump.</font> :o

Picked up my copy last night. Love the new hitting and pitching mechanics thus far. Visually, this game is gorgeous.

<font color=goldenrod>I was playing against Halladay and he threw a borderline pitch that was called a ball.

Eric Karros then said: "Well he might have gotten that call if he weren't on the cover of the wrong game."</font>

 Fuckin priceless.

About the commentary, I'm a little mixed about it. I like Vasgersian and Campbell, but Karros sounds a bit rough. Game is still slick though.

<font color=goldenrod>I'm already fed up with RTTS. My player got traded to the Astros in the middle of my 2nd year, and they already had an A prospect ahead of me at 2B who was called up shortly thereafter. Nevertheless, I still met nearly all of my goals despite simming most of the games (3 out of 4 goals usually always works) yet I keep getting denied promotion based on my stats. Then my BACKUP in AAA, also an A potential 2B prospect who rarely played, got called up even though he wasn't on the 40-man either.

I started the game at 22 years old to be realistic......and 4 full years in and I can't catch a break. They keep telling me my stats aren't good enough. That's because I can't improve my other stats because I'm too busy meeting the goals. Guess I should have started at 18....by the time I get to the bigs I'll be ready to retire.

I like the way they give out points this year and stuff but the Advancement goals make this feel like the same 'ol mode. My only hope is that the Rule 5 draft is accurate this year and I'm allowed to be taken by another team and forced to be kept on the roster. I doubt it though.</font>

Damn.

Threw a 1-hitter with Fausto Carmona against the Tigers. Walked a guy in the 4th and gave up a solo homer in the 7th and I pitch that I completely screwed up on. Damnit.

Yea, the game is pretty good about making you pay for mistakes when you miss out over the plate, no matter who you're throwing with. Whether your release point is off or you miss the target, this game doesn't show a ton of mercy.

I had a no-no going through 7.2 innings, and I threw a curveball and released it a tick too early. Needless to say, it hung right out over the outside half of the plate, which led to a booming double. I've gone 7 innings with a no hitter at least five times since getting the game, and this has happened every time.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, the game is also great at recognizing your pitching patterns. You can get burned.

Also dealt with 1-hitter frustration. I did a fantasy draft and was throwing a perfecto with Duchscherer against the Phillies. The Phillies' #8 batter (a game-generated guy) got a hit in the 6th. Wound up being the only baserunner I allowed. By the 9th I had a huge lead and actually was hoping to give up another hit just cause getting SO close to a perfecto stung a bit.</font>

I just updated my 2010 roster by hand as I couldn't get an online update to work..... took me a week working on it a few hours a night.....
