I don't think they will have Del Rio vs ??? be the final match at WrestleMania. I can see this going the way of Rey vs. Angle vs. Orton at WM22. Giving Del Rio the Rumble victory and most likely the title win is big enough, but they are definitely pushing it and giving him too much too soon by having him close the biggest show of the year. Plus he's Mexican, so guys like Racist Hayes and co. won't like giving the Mexican too much. This is typical WWE_style, giving a guy (who they are pushing hard) alot but not everything. Just to keep them and the fans happy. Another example is Eddie Guerrero. They kept him and the fans happy by atleast giving him a WWE Championship match at WMXX. Another example is Chris Jericho. They made him the 1st Undisputed Champion only to book him like shit. They won't give Del Rio the 3 biggest things all within the span of 3 months (Royal Rumble victory, title win at Mania, final match at Mania)

Which leads me to believe they are definitely doing The Miz vs. John Cena with The Rock as Special Guest Referee to close the show. The Rock singled out Miz and Cena. I think there was a reason for that. Rock said he was going to see them both at WrestleMania. I DUNNO.

UNLESS The Undertaker is the final mystery entry at Elimination Chamber. I could see them doing Del Rio vs. Undertaker somehow. But I'm sure there are better options than this.

I had absolutely no doubt for months that Miz vs. Cena will main event. The only thing that could POSSIBLY go above it would be Triple H vs Undertaker, and honestly, that's not main event worthy.

My point is, these days, Royal Rumble victories don't mean as much as they used to. Until you have one Undisputed Champion, a Royal Rumble victory doesn't guarantee you the coveted final match on the WrestleMania card. Look at Edge vs. Chris Jericho at WM26. Oh how times have changed.

Just like how winning a WHC or WWE Championship doesn't mean as much as it used to. Everyone has had a ride.

These days, I really do think the highest accomplishment one can accomplish in ones' career is being in the final match at WrestleMania

If Rock's involved in the match, it'll go on last. He's by far the biggest attraction they have, and he's got to close the show in some capacity because of it. With him calling out Miz and Cena, it'll either be him special reffing the match, or *crosses fingers and wishes upon a shooting star* a triple threat.

You are right though, especially because the 'E has stretched the limits as to what it means to main event Wrestlemania. They've been hyping both Del Rio AND the winner of the Raw EC as main eventing the big dance.

I know, exactly. Miz vs. Cena is good and all, but it wasn't WM worthy by itself. Adding The Rock to this match makes it WM worthy now. Let's say Sting doesn't come to WM, I think it was Vince's backup plan to have Rock be a part of WM to finally make WM be good enough for people to order

I doubt Rock will be wrestling. You'd think he would need a few tune up matches first after a 7 year lay off. For him to just jump into a WM match is absurd. Before WM19, he had matches with Hulk Hogan, and Hurricane. So he would "peak" for WM.

I don't know what he did prior to WMXX, but it wasn't a 7 year lay off

Plus Rock doesn't need to be wrestling in matches. He just needs to stand there, and give Miz and Cena his signature moves. Anything more than that isn't necessary. Really.

Unless Rock is planning on staying for 6 months. Fuck it, all we need is Rock on the mic, burying Cena week in and week out until Cena decides to quit life.

I doubt Rock was a "backup plan," as he'll probably draw far more buys than Sting, as he appeals to a far larger audience.

Not to say that Sting wouldn't draw though.

Edit - And yeah, I think you're pretty spot on with your Rock assessment...just wishful thinking from me that he'd lace 'em up though. Hell, just let him speak for 4 hours and I'd buy 'Mania.

I can definitely can see Rock and Bieber doing a little promo together in the ring and have all of the media going nuts for it. It has the potential to create a media buzz similar to what happened with Austin/Tyson

If I was The Rock, having me be seen with the biggest pop superstar right now, Justin Bieber, would do good for my career. It wouldn't hurt. The teeny bopper girls might wanna check out my new movie just cuz I was seen with "The Bieb". It would make Rock look relevant again, or atleast remind the world that he's still hip with the Hollywood scene.

Sad to say, but Rock would get the rub from "The Bieb". At the same time, Bieber would benefit by having a moment with The Rock, and have him be looked at in a different light especially by the male fans that hate him. Of course this would work best if they poked fun at Bieber and he didn't take it too seriously. You know poking fun at himself_style.

So how about that private TPWW WM stream.... that sounds good now.

You have to send the fans home happy, hence Cena will fight last and win the title.

Raw will go on last. Del rio will win so you don't want the crowd going home unhappy. But I'm betting we'll get two new champions this year if that's the case. Miz and Del Rio cant both win.

Cena vs. Miz will main event, with Cena winning in his title match for the 6th time out of 7 years.

Cena is main eventing and winning his match whether it be against The Rock or The Miz. Rock's involvement one way or the other will put it higher on the card than any other potential Taker match (Triple H, Sting, etc.)

WM 28 will roll around with Taker/Cena as the main attraction - at which point WWE slams their heads into a desk when they realize that Cena jobbing at WM 24 ruined a potential Streak vs. Streak storyline. WM 24 ironically being the one year he really should have won to finish off his miracle comeback from injury storyline.

I really don't wanna give a final answer because if they do Rock vs. Cena it opens up the title picture wide open, not to mention if they say fuck it and let Lawler win
